Not a rant at all, but an amusing story (to me anyway). It's awesome when the bad guys get busted. I should post more of these colorful stories now and then.

As many know, I work in a casino in Black Hawk. The shit I see at work sometimes....what a business.

Anyway, I'm standing in the pit with my back to the craps table when I hear a commotion behind be, maybe 5 feet away.

I spin around and a young black kid, maybe 25 and totally gangsta looking (sagging pants, cornrows, sideways hat with the tag hanging off, patchy scruffy beard, crappy tats all over, etc.), is in one of my dealers face and I hear "I'll fuck you up Trump boy!" The dealer was a white dude, of course. And snowflakes, don't beat me up for the description - that's how I described him to the PD because that's what he looked like.

Within seconds it's mayhem with a lot of pushing and shoving between this moron, staff and other guests. Then the black kid starts throwing $5 and $1 chips at anyone in the area. And throwing them full blast like he's pitching baseballs. He must have whipped $100 around at people. Luckily nobody got more than a bruised ear (he pressed charges).

I immediately have Black Hawk PD called and try to get the asshat out of the casino before he makes things worse. He called me about every slur that a white guy can be called on the way out and threatened me multiple times. He exited with middle finger extended, still slurring away and threatening me, and disappeared into the parking garage.

The funny thing was that his sister shows up outside the casino a few minutes later and asks where her brother went. I told her, then she asked me to cash out a single $5 chip for her. I said, "Sure! Of course I will...stay right here and I'll be right back."

Just as I see the BHPD roll in I happened to get back to her with a $5 bill - what timing! BHPD questioned her and she sold her brother out 100%. Name, address, cell number, make and model of his car in the parking garage, etc.

Turned out that the dude had multiple warrants out and is in deep shit for things worse than what he did at the casino. I'll probably be going to court for this one.

It was interesting seeing someone being called "Trump Boy" first hand. Of course, that's the dealers new nickname.

And it all started because the dude was betting incorrectly and the dealer corrected him. Ya know, doing his job. And this dealer is a gigantic teddy bear of a guy. Now he's Trump Boy. LOL

People with warrants typically can't stay out of trouble.... it's why the keep getting warrants!

Imagine if that went down in a casino in Vegas. I have a buddy that's security out there. There is no playing around with people.

If he's FTA that's a bench warrant, right? Now - is the warrant only good in Gilpin county?

Well, similar situation where the patron didn't like the dealer. If a normal dealer doesn't like a dealer, they pick up their money and move to a different table. Not this guy. He proceeds to shit talk the dealer until the dealer says something he doesn't like (allegedly). Patron takes a swing at dealer from across the table (I don't remember if contact was made or not). Chaos ensues and our patron grabs a handful of chips off the table and makes a run for it. He doesn't make it far before he is apprehended, handcuffed to a desk in a room in the basement, and then has the shit beat out of him while handcuffed to the table. He showed up hours and hours later to the hotel room where no one else had a clue what happened. Of course when they opened the door they wanted to know what happened to him.

Lesson: Don't punch dealers in Las Vegas; or anywhere.

and somehow, they just keep turning up and getting more. Depending on what he already had, they will haul his ass to the next district/county and keep him for a while.

It should be like that EVERYWHERE. Not just Vegas.

I've had so many people get mad at me for "taking" their cards when playing blackjack. Never had it get that bad though.

We had to fire a guy in Vegas last year, 6 figure job and a free trip to Vegas for a week and he pissed it all away to get drunk.. according to him. After he was covered in vomit fighting with 3 huge hotel security guys in the hallway and then with Vegas PD I'm guessing it was more than alcohol.

The funny part was our worldwide VP had to go get him in the basement of one of the very nice casinos. He said it was about 7 floors down from the casino and he was handcuffed to the wall with his arms above his head in a padded locked room with lots of extra cuffs should anyone else act up. I don't think it would be very fun to end up in the basement of a Vegas casino after plenty of video of you fighting with people. I can just hear it.... "he came in this way" :)

Also, I was going to talk shit to some white guy in a rural county I'd call him Hillary Boy, that might actually offend him.

We had a sub working a resident security solutions gig at one of the larger casinos go AWOL. He apparently self bonded out and when he finally showed up trying to make some BS excuses, they showed him the security footage of him drunk, fighting, and getting arrested, and then showed him the door. He'll never work in the industry again.

Vegas sucks but it's a pretty cheap place if you need to do a meeting for 1000 people.

Jeeze, give me a 6 figure job and the LAST thing I'd do is get drunk and asinine in Vegas! Amazes me how some people are so adept at stomping on their own dick.

This guy was something special, tried to deny it was him and then tried to steal the company laptop which was sitting on his bed. Vegas PD handed it right over due to the asset sticker. Spent the next 2 nights in the Red Roof Inn by the airport because he was still to messed up to get on the plane.

If he's FTA that's a bench warrant, right? Now - is the warrant only good in Gilpin county?

If he FTAs the court will most likely issue a warrant for his arrest. It depends on whether it's Blackhawk or The county that issues the warrant and what they decide their rules are on extradition. I know some places that only do 50 miles and other places that do adjacent counties, and so on. Denver and Aurora often do Denver or Aurora Only warrants.

FWIW, DenverPD will execute an Arapahoe County warrant (or perhaps only at DIA). I guess that meets the adjacent rule.

Wasn't me, long back story on a bogus (adjudicated) MIP FTA (failure to complete CS), but I posted the bail.

Wife and I went to Vegas this year but we flew out on Monday and came home Friday. It was nice avoiding the weekend crowds. You could see the craziness coming in as we were leaving though.
