Yes, another one of those "where's the best place?...." Getting back into reloading and am wondering if there's a consensus along the front range. I'm in metro Denver, but travel up and down from Ft. Collins to Pueblo.
Is there a consensus that one is consistently the best overall? Or are the prices within such a margin there's really no one price leader?
I'm familiar with Dad's, Reloading Zone, Sportsman's, and I know that Cabela's has some powder. In spot checking Reloading Zone to Sportsman's, I see that RZ is cheaper on some, SW is cheaper on some, but again, within $1 or $2 per pound.
I regularly found primers to be cheaper at Cabelas (CCI) than at Sportsmans. However, that was up to two years ago. Now I have a difficult time even finding primers at either.
Reloading zone is good peeps.

Buy in bulk on line, to minimize the hazmat fee.
What powders you looking for? I have a few pounds of H335 i don't use, along with others in 1lb containers.

This is what I do, and get some friends to go in on the smaller orders.

Kyle is good people, he gets stuff the bigger stores never seem to get, 2400, bullseye, etc.....
Pretty good stock of primers too
Forgot, he does the gunshows, so if you order stuff, he will take it to the show for you and save you a trip to Eaton
Some Walmarts carry powder and primers, Timnanth and Loveland (hwy34) both do.
Liberty Firearms Institute does as well.
Murdoch's carries some stuff too

Forgot about Kyle, also Bstoker87 a newer member. If he has a decent order it's worth it, i saved $$ on a few kegs of powder.. Too bad Doug & Gina (Elk Bomb) moved, they were a great mom & pop shop.

WTF? Where did they move too?
Sounds like Rock Springs, WY.
EDIT: It's a five hour drive one-way from my house. I'll drive in exchange for a few thousand primers and some .223/300 blkout bullets.
Dads wholesale is still good if you can deal with cranky.

I don't mind cranky. I mind paying more for something than necessary. Do you fond dad's cheaper than sportsman's or reloading zone?

I don't know if dads has a better price for his regulars, but the couple times I got powder from him, I paid $35 for a pound of titegroup, and I think it was $30 for a pound of Accurate 5. Way more than normal price, but at the time it was hard to find. And definitely got a lot of a cranky... I figured it was cause I was a newb, sounds like it's just his normal state.
Last month I picked up 3 lbs of titegroup at cabellas for $18/lb and 3 lbs of CFE Pistol for $20/lb.
I gave up trying to find small pistol primers at cabellas. Managed to get 3 boxes of CCI small pistol primers a few weeks back at Green Mountain Guns, think it was $33 per box. A little high, but I was just happy they had them in stock.
Reloader's Corner in old Arvada. Make sure you bring cash though.

Old guy pissed me off at a gun show when I wanted to buy some powder that he had set out, refused to sell it cuz he didn't recognize me as a regular.
He could be the last source of powder on earth, and if he was on fire I wouldn't piss on him to put it out.
While I am at it add the other grouchy old man Bruce at active arms in FTC, I am just waiting until he kicks it, then his wife will have a fire sale and I will buy up all he has been hoarding for pennies on the dollar.
