We took in a stray recently, before I found out I was getting divorced and selling the house but now I need to find him a home. He is about 7 months old, box trained and pretty cool. He was good with the other cats and our dog and loves kids. He isn't neutered. If anyone wants him or knows someone who would let me know, I have to get him out of the house before they start showing it, so like ASAP! I hate to take him to the pound but if I don't find him a home by this weekend I will have to.

Don't take him to a pound! Do you have any pet stores (Petsmart, Petco) near you? They work with cat rescues that can help you.

If not, contact the Denkai Animal Sanctuary. Or the rescue in Eaton.

The pound is a death sentence. :(

Craigslist. Especially holiday season. But i'd choose wisely.

If all my kids were not allergic to cats, I would in a heartbeat.

The "pound" isn't the worst option out there - there are some bad rescues (overcrowded, unsanitary, etc) out there. Many shelters in Colorado have pretty good live release rates (90%+) and often work with legit rescues as well.

Wish I lived much closer or had a means of getting him down my way, I'd take him.

I can get the cat close to denver, if that helps.

It certainly does! I'd be trying to get the handsome devil neutered ASAP because he'd need to be an indoor kitty. Im assuming he's mostly an outdoor cat, trlcavscout? Gotta run it by the g/f

He is indoor mostly but does go outdoors as well. I am not a big cat person, my X wife and son are, but this one is pretty cool and that's why I haven't dumped him at the shelter.

Get the cat figured out? Wife suddenly thinks its a great idea after discovering mice in house. Making sure my shepherd thinks its a friend not chow might be fun.
