During the election I created a Twitter account to watch the melt-down in real time. Well now I'm bored with Twitter. I've heard discussions on here about useful people/places to follow for getting on the ground intel during emergencies and so forth.

Who/where are the more useful people/places to follow on Twitter?

I've got some science stuff and my favorite bloggers as well, so I'm open to other stuff beyond just emergency feeds.

Aside from the snarky commentators I follow, these are useful...

Thanks Skip. Anyone else? I know I've seen people on here mention their Twitter feeds.

I had a Twit account a few years ago. Got old and boring really fast and really got nothing out of it.

I have an anonymous Twitter account to follow some of the folks that I enjoy seeing their tweets. I follow Michael Brown (of KHOW fame), Christian Toto (Hollywood and Toto), and several others like Rand Paul, Trump (for pure entertainment), Sheriff Clarke, and a few others that I cannot recall ATT.

I've been tempted to start a twitter account just to let the world know every time I have a bowel movement.

Got an example? When you make a tweet, who sees it, just people who follow you and whomever follows the person you tweeted at?

Is this the right one? https://twitter.com/heriot_watt_dis

EDIT: Never mind, I see you gave me the correct address.

.

Depends on how you tweet. If you just send a tweet, only your followers will see it. Now if you add hashtags, anyone that searches that hashtag can see it. You can search the trending topics also and then tweet people that are talking about said trending topic.

I don't really tweet much if ever, got banned for a couple days when I first joined and was trolling hoplophobes but got bored with it.

When I Googled it and the first link was to Urban Dictionary, I figured it'd be a funny feed or something. Turns out it's some DJ. Heh
