I'm a "Maker's Mark Ambassador" (which means that I get junk mail from Maker's Mark and someday down the road if I want to go visit the distillery I'll get to hand dip a couple of bottles from the cask that currently has my name on it. I think I have 5 more years to wait).

Anyway, every year they send out a little Christmas gift to the Ambassadors that is usually an item meant to dress up a bottle of Maker's in a festive holiday style. One year it was a nicely crocheted little Christmas sweater that fits on the bottle, another year was a tiny little set of ear muffs and another year was a scarf. I think the idea is that you can dress up a bottle you'd give as a gift or decorate around the house with it.

This year's gift is a pair of little rubber collars that have a mount for a wire hanger that you hang a little sprig of plastic mistletoe from over the top of the bottle.

I gotta ask y'all ... looking at these things, what was your FIRST thought as to their application?

Is Maker's being cheeky? Or are they really unaware? [ROFL1]

Mrs Zundfolge was not amused. :p

I'd almost bet you could sell/gift as many as you could get your hands on.

I am traveling (shocker I know), and mine came in the mail Tuesday. Told my wife to open it and tell me what it was. She opened it up, and there was a slight pause.... Then "Oh! It goes on the bottle."

Pour us all a double neat and we'll discuss it with the ambassador.

I'm a "Maker's Mark Ambassador"

Is that a euphemism for "high functioning alcoholic?" [ROFL2]

It took me along time to figure out what was being implied, but I finally came around.

I'll post some pictures later to help you other guys out.

Okay, so it's a mistletoe dangling above a soft ring of some kind.

Understanding it in a dirty context 101.

1) Go through your mental checklist and ask yourself what could the soft ring potentially fit over, especially in a dirty context?
2) Good, now your here. Now use your spatial orientation in your brain. What would it look like if someone were to actually put it on there. In what configurations could it be worn?
3) Okay, so now you have it in a three-dee space. So where is the mistletoe now? Mistletoe implicates a kiss. So what social connotations does this new body adornment implicate?

Glad to have you up to speed people. This is the conclusion of foxtrot's special education class for the slow kids in the school.

Wait, I have a question.

If you put it on upside down, does it become a Christmas Tickler?

Now I see where some of us didn't get it.... there's no way it would fit in that application.... I mean physically- it would have to be very stretchy [gohome]
