What do you recommend, It has a 5 round mag as is, I want to bring it up to at least 8, I want a kit that does not need a new barrel .

They make the best in the business. Your local gunshop can order kits/parts from RSR.

The Mossberg nut has the best, and strongest thread pattern and as such, you don't need a clamp. We use the Mossberg nuts on the 8 round stainless tubes for the VersaMax, M3000 and PT12 tubes because they are stronger than the the original thread pattern on those guns.

I posted a link to Nordic. There kit would be something like this: https://nordiccomp.com/categories/new-nc-mxt-shotgun-extension-complete-assembly-12ga/

Yeah, I saw that it fits every Mossberg but a 500, so I messaged them, I am assuming it will not fit but hey you never know.

The Mossberg 500 series barrel is attached to the magazine tube with a lug that is brazed to the barrel. When you change the length of the mag tube you have to change where the lug is to match the mag. The only way that I know of doing that is to unbraze/remove the lug and braze it where you need it or get a new barrel.

I'm not familiar with the "AG" so it may be different than the other 500s.

Sorry SG1, I totally missed that the 500 is that oddball. If Nordic has a solution, they will let you know.
