Got to play with one of these the other day over at Bison Tactical. Seemed like an amazing scope for the money. Reviews I've read echo that sentiment. However, I saw KSE from over on the hide forums did a tracking test on one of the MIL scopes and it over adjusted .1 every 4 mils. Given the reticle though, I'm not sure that would bother me too much as you'd probably hold over for anything requiring 10 MILS or less.
Curious if any of you guys have or have been behind one of these scopes and your thoughts/impressions.

No help on your scope, but how is that store? I've always wanted to check it out, but can't seem to get there
I checked mine on a board measured and marked up to 12 mils at 100 yards and it was spot on.

As for the Athlon Chronis, it seems like a very good scope for the money. They are made in Japan at the LOW factory. LOW makes the SWFA HD models of scope and builds for quite a few other scope companies. I have no first hand experience with tracking but have not heard anything bad.

No experience with Cronus line but recently purchased two of their Midas BTR scopes. One is their 4.5-27x50 for my 220 Swift and a 2.5-15x50 for a KIDD 10/22. For the price, their are very good scopes. Optical quality is better than the Weaver Tactical, SWFA non-HD glass, Leupold VX-3 and Vortex PST line to my eyes. If I remember correctly, these are former Bushnell engineers.
I like their APLR1 reticle and illumination seems to work well. Click adjustments aren't as crisp as I would like but both passed the box test without any issues. For a sub-$500 scope (with military discount), I have no complaints.
Thought hard about the Cronus, but price point puts it close enough to a Razor Gen II or non-illuminated March scope to make me pass on it.

I have a Cronus 4.5-29 mounted on my LR308. So far it seems like a very well built optic with good glass and a great reticle. The scope seems to track well and returns to zero. I will try and spend a little more time behind it in the coming weeks but so far it seems like a good investment (with a lifetime warranty). I also have an Argos 6-24 FFP on my CZ 455 .22 trainer. This also seems like a good quality scope with good glass.
I spent a decent amount of time talking to Trent from Athlon prior to my purchase and they definitely seem to be very customer service oriented. Trent did confirm that they are former Bushnell employees.

Thanks for the info everyone. Probably going to end up buying one in the next couple of days.
