A shooting buddy got a Labradar for Christmas. We took it out today to give it a try. I was running my magneto speed simultaneously with it. The two gave very, very consistent results. Readings were typically separated by only 2 ft./s with the Labradar consistently reporting 2 feet per second slower.

I was most impressed by how easy it was to set up. All you do is set it on the ground and turn it on. It is triggered by an onboard microphone which was barely sensitive enough to pick up my suppressed 6 Dasher. I think there is some sort of external microphone that is available that should allow it to work more reliably with suppressed guns and 22s.

It is about the coolest thing ever. I'm pretty sure I need to have one.

You want to part with the MS towards that LR, LMK.

I've heard a lot of good about the Lab Radar. I think I need one too!

I've been shopping for one since before Christmas. The ease of use is the biggest benefit I think.

Happened to run across this thread today, somewhat funny in light of the Garmin Xero C1

What a difference six years makes. You can’t give Labradars away now.

I found that the extra battery pack will save you frustration.

Had the opportunity to see and try the garmin chrono. If i could operate it, anyone can, impressive easy to set up and use, now if only i had a few hundred laying around.

The Garmin is super easy to set up and very forgiving on placement, I am glad I bought one. I had a labradar when they first came out and sold it after a few range trips because it failed to pick up many shots. So far the Garmin has not missed one.

Yep...the Garmin is super easy to set up. Works better than the Lab Radar and is much smaller which makes is more stable in windy conditions. It has missed a few shots which I attribute to "rapid fire". As long as you are shooting at 1 shot per second it shouldn't miss anything. I have tried it with high power rifle and air gun so far. Data isn't quite as in depth as Lab Radar. It will not give you the incremental velocities and kinetic energies as the projectile travels downrange.
