Sitting in a motel in rifle for the second day. Hope they clear the roads so I can get home tomorrow. Oh and two little kids in the same room....ahhhhhhh!!!!

370hp rear wheel drive car = not fun anymore in snow.

I'd bet the kids would love to go for a ride while you spin donuts on the road, or in parking lots.......

It's a Dodge RT Charger rented for another trip to California. I'm surprised they rent them.....it must get expensive replacing rear tires. Rides nice, four door, big trunk, highway missile that gets 26 mpg. Just doesn't like snow at all.
I'm considering buying the Charger Shit Pack....err Scat Pack. Same car with 6.4 liter making 480 hp. Almost as much fun as a Hellcat without the cost.

Have two 4x4s at home in the driveway. Almost took the jeep but 2500 miles in a jeep no thanks. Wish I had it for this last 200 miles lol.

You eat at Shooters yet? The gun / pawn across the street has or use to have a lot of old Winchesters

Yeah I was in durango this morning and all the passes closed. Drove south to Albuquerque then back north on I25. 4hr detour but I want to be home. Left at 9am this morning and just south of C. Springs right now.

Cool. Where are you renting them from? My BIL has a Challenger SRT 392, fun car!

Just had dinner and talked to a tow truck driver. So far he has recovered three roll overs and fished three from the ditch/trees. He thinks the roads will be worse tomorrow. I'm going to look for a southern route tonight.

I've gotten 2 RT chargers from enterprise in Golden. This one had to be taken from the manager. He'd been driving for a couple weeks and wanted to keep it.

I rent pickups from enterprise Lakewood. I'll look into renting the cars from the other location.

Best of luck with the alternate route.

How was I25? Seems like Raton Pass is as bad as the rest.

Going to check out that pawn shop tomorrow.

The new springs in Glennwood, Iron Mountain, is freaking awesome. Won't be going to the big pool any more.

Honestly all of I25 was decent. Raton pass was good and from Trinidad to Pueblo the right lane was clear and the left lane was snow packed. White out conditions from Walsenberg to Pueblo made for some difficult driving.

Good luck getting out. Be safe as you travel. I graduated from Rifle high school way back in the day.

They do make those in AWD.. Not the RT for the last few years. AWD only available with the V6, even in the Chryslers.

Roads all along I70 were good. Bought chains because CDOT said they were mandatory between vail and copper. Bullshit. Most of it was dry. I'll be taking those back to Walmart.

Didn't go look at the Winchesters either. Oh well I have Winchester taste and a Rossi budget anyways.

Sure happy to be home.

Not even clear close to a Hellcat, but fun

Dodge Charger of any variety, in the snow turn off the traction control. It just fucks you and fucks you, oh and fucks you some more. Dodge took a good idea, and failed horribly with it in the snow/ice.
