I've seen some big herds in Northeast New Mexico before but this one beats them by far. Taken this morning about 15 miles North of Walden.

North of Cowdry?

We Elk hunt in those GMU's up there and always see lots of Pronghorn, but never a herd that size.

Looks like a convention.

Wow! Largest herd I've seen, too.

Elk hunting out past Maybel, we saw a herd about half that size a few weeks back. They bunch up, as do the elk. The elk I shot was out of a small herd of 50, last year it was a herd of about 300.

Yep, just past Cowdry.. there was a large heard of elk on the other side of the road but you see those all the time. :)

I've certainly seen elk herds that large, but never antelope. Wow. It probably beats my largest by 10x.

... Riiight.

Saw the tail end (10 animals) of a herd of 30 last year 300 yds off on a slow run. Missed from kneeling (no possible prone shot). Still pissed at myself for missing the only chance i've had in 5 years.

They're probably bunching up trying to keep warm. [Coffee]

had a late season doe tag last year for out east and I estimated the herd that I shot my doe out of to be around 500 animals. All on the same winter wheat field.
