Anyone here within an hour of Boulder that I can take two pieces of 3" pipe to and have them cut and threaded (four cuts, four thread cuts)?

PM if you can do it and what it's going to cost, thanks :)

I think it's technically 2.75" diameter but it's pretty close to 3" in outer diameter. The pipes are what support my desk and they are a bit longer than needed. They've worked fine for the past 30 years as-is but I'd like to move the desk against a different wall so if a few inches were removed off of each end of two pipes, I'd be all set:

Try Home Depot? I bought 1" pipe from them and they cut and threaded it for me there. I don't know if they have a size limit but worth a shot.

ETA: Yup, Id start there. http://tiphero.com/10-free-services-offered-at-the-home-depot/

Pipe Cutting and Threading: Home Depot has a fancy tool for these jobs. Don’t worry about doing this yourself.

Im sure Lowes has the same thing if you dont have a Home Depot close.

I can do it next week if you don't get it handled before then.

Yeah, Home Depot can do it. You'll have to clean off some cutting oil afterwards though.

McGuckins has cut and threaded pipe for me in the past.. it was pipe I bought there though so don't know what the policy is with bringing in pipe. Would think they would do it.
