I'm interested in picking up an AR-10 variant. I found a guy selling a homebuilt rifle. Specs are below. Can anyone give me a rundown of some common AR-10 pitfalls? I don't know much yet about the .308 world or specifically what to look for (other than standard AR-pattern type things). I also know there are two different AR-10 patterns (DPMS vs Armalite), but I don't really know the practical, real-world effects that different patterns can cause.
If anyone can drop some knowledge on me, that would be most appreciated. Also, if anyone has some rough guesses on valuation of the rifle below, that would also be a big help. It's hard to do a gunbroker search when everything is a frankenbuild.
