Basically the fiasco over a few thousand sjw whining gets them to drop a sponsored hunter over her husband hunting a bear. Stock and sales dwindling.

LOL

Under Armour fell -25% today!
Under Armour, Inc. (UAA)
NYSE - NYSE Delayed Price. Currency in USD
21.49 -7.45 (-25.74%)

IF those fools cherry picking where their "revenue" is getting generated, they deserve to get hammered.

Let 'er rip.

I have some UA stuff, and I am not going to burn it, but we immediately stopped buying it when they changed course.

I never purchased a single one of their products and now never will. FFS it's "under" armor why the hell can I see it?!

Dave_L
01-31-2017, 15:55
Haha! This is how its supposed to work. The free market sorted it out. I do find it funny that they sided with the group least likely to use their product.

Another company that fundamentally failed to understand their customers and deserves it.

Unfortunately, the employees, vendors, and shareholders don't deserve it.

They made some really good outer wear, which is what we have. Cabela's Storm is what I will replace it with.

Yes, Skip, it is again the peasants that get screwed by the liberals

I think their stuff is over priced to begin with (and sized too small), but I'm glad to see them get their nose bloodied for picking the wrong side of the culture war.

I have no sympathy for them. I have a few of their shirts. Would have eventually bought more. Until they change their stance on hunting they get nothing from me.

My wife gave me a very nice UA hoodie (camo) and I love it. I immediately thought, "This will be great for hunting!". Too bad...this will be the only one I own.

Every outdoors and sporting goods store that carries UA product should stop.

Aloha_Shooter
01-31-2017, 17:34
I think the company failed hard but what everyone is missing is that the stock is tanking because they haven't maintained the expansion rate of doubling sales every 3 years. They still expanded sales 12%, they just missed the analyst projections. The question in my mind is what that did to profits -- if they still made profits then this is a buying opportunity on their stock.

Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one that had trouble with their fitment. The sleeves just arent long enough.

DavieD55
01-31-2017, 17:59
I have a couple of their cold gear shirts and I think they are pretty nice for what they are but, I have never purchased any of their other products do to it all being made in China nor will I ever buy anything else at this point. This caving in to the cultural Marxism seals the deal for me.

Shooter45
01-31-2017, 18:00
They have decent stuff if it fits you, although they charge a premium for the name just like many others. I've done fine without any of their stuff and will continue to be fine.

Another possible good SHORT is Dicks Sporting goods (DKS). DICK and UA are closest complimentary.

Oh yeah, I remember DICK use to cherry pick their revenue too.

Having a bad Q retails numbers, I don't think ANY retailers have luxury (rich grease in their stomach) to cherry pick their revenue.

Huh? What did the high arid region ever do to them? [Coffee]

Never been a fan of UA. Just didn't fit that well and the price was at a premium. Didn't understand why they caved to people that were not their customers either.

To be fair, I used to be a big fan of Patagonia. I don't mind paying a premium for top quality clothes made in the USA. Then they outsourced to South America. Yes, they are helping people down there but still charging the premium here. I doubt the "new" workers are seeing those revenues.

I'd love to hear the people talk while sewing up all those super warm coats. On the upside probably a low employee theft rate.

"It's" is ONLY used for "it is." The possessive is still "its" (no apostrophe).

Let's lose our conservative/hunting customers by bowing to the whiny libs....

Let's lose any support we gained by bowing down to the whiners by saying something positive about President Trump....

Now would be a hell of a time to buy U.A. stock. I wish I had the free money. I don't care about who slimed what slimeball with what kind of slime. The fact is they've taken a huge stock hit over the last year and it will rebound. How much, who knows. Right now, $21, high within the last 12 months is 400% higher.

They also took a big hit with Sports Authority closing.

What makes you think it won't go to $5, if it lost 75% in the last year what says it won't lose 75% this year? Don't try to buy bottoms. Let it bottom and catch it as it rises.

You can always tax loss harvest for increased gains when it goes back up.

Too much opportunity loss waiting for it to go back up.

Money better used elsewhere.
