DCF is run by a former banker. He'd probably charge an entrance fee if he thought he could get away with it. Told his investors he'd have a profit margin of like 30% on everything, according to what I heard from a former employee. They have a few good guys on their staff, but they are definitely misunderstanding about certain aspects of business (like cheaper transfer fees can bring in new clients). They only get away with it because the market in that area is cornered and they have a range. The other two small shops can't compete with the amenities and the "experience" that the money in CR can apparently afford.

I have been there once when a guy wanted to buy my ruger and he was paying the fee and to the range once since a friend is a member. But I don't think I've spent any money there ever. $50 for a transfer blew it for me. Really anything over $25 is crazy to me.

I've only used them once, when they were in a real small shop on main street next to the new location for Damascus Grill. They were more sensible with prices then.

I normally use and recommend without hesitation Tim, but have been in Franktown Firearms at the bequest of the seller and they were nice about it. I don't recall what the fee was, $20 or $25 I think.

Seller does a lot of business there, so I can't say if that factored into my experience or not.

Danger Lee is the best price and service I've found in the Parker/Douglas County area.
