I put an E2 stock on my Springfield M1A and WOW what a difference a stock makes. That stock is so nice. It is a liter than the Big Red birch stock I had on and makes the rifle so much more comfortable to shoot.
I have used an EMR before but didn't like it because of the weight.
Some of these E2's have surfaced in the last couple of years as new never issued with no hardware, you look hard enough and you can find a good deal on one.
Timberline up North of Denver has some if anybody is interested

Fred's M14 Stocks used to have pallets of anything you could want for M1A's and the E2's were something he had, at the time. They can be pricey for sure because of limited availability but if you watch you can still find them. Fred's sold out this past fall and all inventory he has went to treelinem14.com. They have E2 stocks for $259 but I haven't followed the market on that stock so not sure if it's a decent price or not. About half the price of an EBR chassis.
