I'm searching for recommendations for a hog hunt. Looking for an all inclusive hunt inside of a 10-12 hour drive; the closer the better. I'm not looking for a trophy.
Thanks!
I have friends who recommend these guys:

Go
That's my recommendation.
Best time hunting i've ever had was with hogs. (in a couple of different places, some good, some bad, didn't matter, still tons of fun)
it does seem to lead to a bit of an arms race (silencers, thermal sights, etc) but hell, at heart we're all gear whores.
Spike Box Ranch was the last place we went (last year).

Thanks guys! I'll check them out! If anybody ever needs another guy to round out a hunt just let me know.

DangerLee starting offering hunts in Texas, not sure on exact location though. I'm very interested in doing one through him myself as the price and what was included sounded very good (although I don't want to quote a price as I don't remember exactly).

Hunt with gun or by bow? I know someone doing a special offer on hog hunting, but I believe it to only be for bow hunting.

I'll contact Tim to see what he has available. I'd be in for sure if he had something open in the next few months.

I would be in for a rifle hunt.

A little too spendy for me. I have a ancient compound bow that weighs a ton and haven't used it in 10 plus years. I may suffer from bow envy if I used my old Bear. :-)

Time to upgrade... go traditional :)

I need to. I have my youngest daughter using one and she loves it. I need to get with the program!

This sounds like the deal of a life time to me, but maybe that's because I don't know how to use a bow and the entire trip is appealing to me. The price sounds very reasonable for the opportunity. At least in my naive opinion.

$223.75 a day is pretty reasonable but I really only want to spend about half of that for a hunt.
Seems reasonable just because I always hear about $10,000 guided hunts. I don't really know what's out there.

Here is what I am looking for in hog hunt. Ability to blast hogs, and ALSO, shoot yotes, racoons, an any other legal vermin. I went on a hog hunt in TX 2 years ago on public lands. The hogs were not around, but buy the yotes and other critters were some fantastic shooting. Anybody know of an outfitter or ranch to do this sort of activity in texas, oklahoma, or heck, anywhere.

Do you have a link to the outfitter?
If you're a military veteran/retiree or DoD civilian employee check out the fort benning hunting club on face book. A group of us are splitting a few cabins and food costs so that part ain't bad. The ft benning hunting pass and Georgia 3 day hunting / fishing license only totaled $50.
The Facebook group have been helpful giving us info....if you have enuf hunters they will even come out and guide ya a bit.
If you're a vet Google up The Fallen Outdoors...they like to get vets into the field...they're also on the Facebook
Following the post and ready to commit to Los Plumas that was suggested above. Any feedback on local hog hunting before I spend money out of state?

Any Texas Hog ranches within 10 hour drive from Denver?
All about you ranch in Oklahoma
Just got back yesterday. I took 10 guys down there for a two day jog hunt and every single guy had an awesome time. Most of them are already planning the next trip.

What part of OK? My brother is getting married in September and he wants to do a hog hunt for his bachelor party and he happens to be moving to Tulsa this upcoming week. Not to mention we have land out there and family all over the state

Dos Plumas is a great group of guys. I'd definitely recommend them. Just hunted there earlier this week.

Zombie thread!
I was invited to go out to Dos Plumas to hunt hogs soon. I've never been hog hunting. I have a few questions, mostly specific to this particular ranch.
Do they allow MSR's? I have a new 6.5 AR10 that I've been wanting to hunt with. Some places seem to only allow bolt guns.
What's the main hunting method there? Blinds? What sort of distance should I expect? I've seen hog hunting get up close and personal but if it's blinds there, I assume the distances can open up. I want to choose my optic wisely.
Do you guys suggest full camo, inc face and hands? I've read conflicting opinions on that. Some say full camo is a must for hogs, others say hogs can't see shit.
Thanks.

I would highly suggest calling them, I have never set a hunt with them but have talked to them a lot and they seem like pretty decent guys. At least the guys that would go to the outdoor shows. Dont think they have the best sight.. go mostly on sense of smell, then hearing then sighr i would think. But never hunted them. Let me know how it goes
I'm curious on if you went on your hunt yet and how it went, I love killing pigs?
