View Full Version : Olympic Closing Doors
Just notices Olympic Arms is closing up shop, apparently being sold based on facebook page info, but no indication of it being sold to anyone with intention of producing arms. They declared an end to any warranty support etc.

I saw a few industry guys write about it. They are closing for good. Not selling the company. Liquidation is in progress.
Probably a radical, left wing plot to disarm America. They will buy out all of the manufacturers and mothball them. They're probably starting small until there's enough money in their "go fund me" account to tackle the bigger companies.
Oh, and it's a shame you Olympic AR owners won't be able to find replacement parts for your rifles.

Hmm, junk rifle company closes doors.
I fail to see the negative here.

This is the same Olympic that I remember. Crooked FSBs, rifles that wouldn't run...
Friends don't let friends buy Olympic.

I thought you meant the Titanic's sister ship. Because it's been closed.

Yeah, I've had to deal with a couple of examples of Olympic Arms rifles in the past ....
But that said, its pretty clear that we'll see lower sales, with Democrats not in office in White House nor in control of Congress, for the next few years. That means more gun industry consolidation is inevitable.
With Trump in office, I think we'll see more of this. No gun scares to keep those sales churning so the junk companies that were just going on volume will close up.
Ironic that what's good for our rights is bad for the sales of the companies we buy from, but I think I'd take my rights over the other. I can see the comments in a few years:
Darn Trump, worst gun salesman president ever!
I was curious what the sentiment would be toward this company, but it's pretty much what I 'spected.
