View Full Version : Translate this email from Micheal Bennett for me...
Dear David:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Hearing Protection Act of 2017 (S. 59). I appreciate hearing from you.
In Colorado, we support the Second Amendment right to bear arms and people's ability to hunt and to protect their families and homes. This debate should not be about challenging the rights of responsible gun owners -- rather, it is about keeping the wrong weapons out of the hands of the wrong people.
S. 59 would reform the process for purchasing silencers. The bill has been referred to the Senate Finance Committee. Should this legislation come to the Senate floor for a vote, I will keep your thoughts in mind.
I value the input of fellow Coloradans in considering the wide variety of important issues and legislative initiatives that come before the Senate. I hope you will continue to inform me of your thoughts and concerns.
For more information about my priorities as a U.S. Senator, I invite you to visit my website at http://bennet.senate.gov/. Again, thank you for contacting me.
Sincerely,
Michael F. Bennet
United States Senator

I would have more respect for him if he would have just told you he will not support the bill...
The term, "wrong weapons," is only used by gun-control proponents.

Translation: "Why are you pestering me with this? You know I'm going to vote the party line against it so why did you put me in the position where I had to politely lie to you? Sheesh."
It did seem like he was all for it in theory but not so much in practice.

The part where he said "respect the 2nd...blahblahblah" basically translates as "I'll do what the overlords say, while blowing sunshine up your ass to make you think I'm listening to you."

Of course. He didn't even bother to write that response.
My translation: "My staffer doesn't even understand the act/issue so he pulled policy statement from other gun-thingy-ish topics that make zero sense with regards to the HPA."

Your reply to that
Fuck You Strong Letter to Follow.
Since he doesn't read any Pro gun correspondence, Why not. He's not now or ever been a pro vote.

"I don't understand the issues and haven't been given my orders on how to vote yet."
I couldn't finished reading his response because I had his slow, droning voice in my head. Party like voter he is. Fuck him.

I got the same response from him. I wish he'd say he's a "commie bastard that hates the constitution" instead of some lie that he "respects the 2nd Amendment."
"Thank you for your email address. I'm now going to spam you with emails detailing my liberal agenda."

His question is: Can I stick it up your butt.
The response is: No!
Doesn't care about the question. Just NO!

Well... Like any professional politician out there he didn't really answer your question.. I would call him directly and ask for clarification.
#notmysenator.
jk
KenBuck should've beaten him on2010.
The email responses from WY Senators and Representative were far more direct, and in support of this bill specifically. Also stated they supported it in the past.
Bennett is just being a typical lying liberal. Sidestep and redirect.

I passed that email response through Google Translate and here's what I got:
Dear David,
We lyng lberals publicly claim to support the Second Amendment and the rest of the Constitution and all it stands for. But in truth, we don't trust our citizens to own firearms since they may one day wake up to our corruption and use the firearms to remove us from our great gigs. I don't want to lose your vote or the votes of anyone you'll share my response with so I'll just be vague and avoid telling you that I have no intention of ever voting for a pro-firearms bill that has any chance of passing.
Disrespectfully yours,
Mikey Bennett
Your Elected Master
That's what I thought it said.

That's just a no backbone no
Where we're losing is allowing them to think this is a pro-gun or anti-gun vote. This is a vote for freedom that squashes some idiotic legislation that was passed devoid of facts which is a dangerous place to pass legislation on anything. This is something that needs to happen and will do nothing for the battle for or against guns.
