View Full Version : what can you do besides watch the show?
This morning I'm out in front of my apartment smoking a cig. This girl is in a big fight with her boyfriend all of a sudden. When he gets into his car and tries to drive away she leaps onto the hood. He slowly backed out of his parking spot and she didn't get off. He then slowly drove about 50 feet further in the parking lot, still she doesn't get off. He then drove to the exit of the complex, again slowly, and stopped before the road for about 45 seconds or so. Still she doesn't get off the hood. At this point he just guns it onto the road turning left and starts going pretty damn fast. After maybe 100 yards he stops in the road, she finally hops off the hood. She came up to me crying her face off and bummed a smoke. I kind of wanted to know what happened but I'm glad she didn't decide to talk to me about it. Now she's just walking around my apartment complex barefoot and crying. For a minute there I really didn't think it was going to end well.
Wow! You gave her a cigarette? How irresponsible of you. Those things are dangerous. [Sarcasm2]
Some entertainment you pay for, and some is free. Glad no one was injured.

Well played. About all you can do with a "domestic" situation is watch.
Trying to intervene will get you in more trouble that it's worth (unless someone is about to die).

Well played. About all you can do with a "domestic" situation is watch.
Even that can be risky.
Many years ago some friends and I were leaving this little bar we hung out at and in the parking lot was a very drunk couple yelling at each other. We all gave them a wide berth and headed to our cars. I made the mistake of looking back as I was getting into my car and accidentally made eye contact with the guy which caused him to divert his rage in my direction (with a good old fashioned "What the f--k you lookin' at?!"). He came up and kicked my car (which caused one of my friends to come running across the parking lot and flatten him with one punch). One of the bartenders had come out and saw the whole thing go down ... he told us that we should probably take off as they'd already called the cops (and of course the girl who was cussing the guy up one side and down the other a moment earlier was hovering over his unconscious body wailing about how we'd killed him). So we left.
Had I been alone I would have had to deal with this drunk guy on my own and I don't punch anywhere near as hard as my friend did.

Just call 911 like good samaritan, and present the video recording. Don't even ask if he/she need assistance. I won't even come near them.
The husband/bf or wife/gf will most likely turn against you.
