crappy.
he was great in "big love"
dies from "complications from surgery"--wonder if it was an infection? no such thing as "routine surgery"--you're taking your life in your hands just being in a hospital these days with MRSA, C-dif, sepsis, etc...
"Game over man, game over!"
RIP

Yep. Could have been a complicated procedure, or it could have been a problem with anesthesia. Every time I've woken up from surgery, I've found it's great to be alive.
Post-op stroke after heart surgery. My father, a cardiac patient from age 48-71, had a valve replacement. The er nurse miscounted the sponges, the post-op x-ray revealed a sponge still inside. While undergoing the second surgery he suffered a stroke, lasted 3 months then passed. Things happen, very saddened to hear about Bill Paxton, always enjoyed his roles. Just started a new series, "Training Day", loosely based on the film,

Agreed. I didn't always like the characters he portrayed, but I enjoyed his portrayal in every role.

Damn, he was still relatively young too. For me, his most iconic role was as Fred Haise in Apollo 13.

How many times has Bill Pullman had to tweet that he is actually still alive?
I always thought that he made the characters he played interesting and memorable. Too bad he never had that huge success in a leading role. But, he was in a ton of movies. I was starting to like his character in Training Day. Rest in peace, I will miss him.
It always freaks the wife out when somebody my age dies.
Man and the new show training day was growing on me

I was absolutely shocked to hear this. I can't believe he passed away at age 61. So young. I really enjoyed watching his films and he seemed like a great guy. Prayers for the family.
