Special Agent Rickey O'Donald suffered a fatal heart attack immediately following the FBI's annual mandatory fitness assessment at the Miami Field Office.

After completing the test, he mentioned to other agents that he wasn't feeling well and left. He drove himself to a local hospital where he collapsed in the parking lot.

Special Agent O'Donald had served with the FBI for 29 years and was assigned to the Miami Field Office. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

My heart goes out to his wife and daughter. :(

I always worried about some of the NCOs during our annual physical fitness test- and this was the USAF, which meant the test was pretty cushy when compared to the other services. Some NCOs were blase enough to light up a smoke while running the 1 1/2 miles. Others obviously had a very hard time with it.

RIP, Special Agent O'Donald.

Heart attack is not always a result of a lack of "fitness". Not least because we group several different things together and call them "heart attack".

Exactly. Especially after 29 years of service. He was at least in his mid 50s. He certainly wasn't old but he wasn't young, either. That really sucks.

Just proof that being healthy will kill you..

That sucks to have a HA after completing the fitness test.. from what i've seen in the past the FBI test is pretty rigorous when you apply, not sure if it's the same while you're there.

Thoughts out to his family.

Im seriously suprised that you shit on this thread. The lead story in the Greeley Tribune was a 42 year old weight lifter who has had multiple heart attacks. Unless you know what happened, just keep the thoughts in your head.

Edited my post.
