Can anyone post some info regarding start and finish times, whether it is "show up and shoot" or is there a specific registration time, cost, number of stations, etc... I've never shot SC at CRC, and if there isn't a carbine match, I'd like to do this.

EDIT to add:

$20.00 for members
$25.00 for non menbers

Show up to help set up, 8:00AM (obviously not a requirement)
Show up to shoot 9:00AM ish... (This can be dependent on how much help he has to set up) Earlier than nine is useful so he can collect the cash get people grouped up if they did not show up in a group and be able to shoot himself)
I help clean up afterwards and / or eat at the shed with others after shooting and am usually out of there between 1:00 an 1:30 so if you just pack up and leave after shooting obviously earlier than that.

It is show up and shoot, non member price is slightly higher than member. It is always the same core 5 or 6 groups of people plus whoever they drag along. I will edit post to reflect actual start time as I can not remember since I am always there early to help set up on the Sundays I shoot. If I help clean up Im getting out of there around 1 or 130PM as I recall.

Actual stations may or may not reflect the "birds" they are intended to represent as they "change it up" to keep the stations interesting. Metal cages at stations, sandy trails to walk between. One porta-john towards the middle stations. Fun time for those of us that regularly go but a new shooter might consider it a little austere. It is not a big money maker for the club so as a result it is not something they put a lot of money into. Though they have put shade awnings at each station in recent years.

Yes it is 100 rounds + a couple for re-shooting broken birds or any other foul ups.

Steve Kingcade runs the Sunday Sporting Clays and I do not know who runs the ones scheduled on Saturdays as I work Saturdays and can never go. but any questions Steve Kingcade's number in on the schedule.

There is on scheduled in March on the 4th and 19th but who knows if weather or temperature will work out. Plus it is early in the season. Sometimes they have very few people show.

Thank you! Is there a registration desk to get a score card, pay the fee, etc? I'd like to invite a couple of friends, but I'd like to give them a cost estimate so they're not surprised at the club.

Cash collected at shed in Sporting clays parking lot with metal awning next to it. Pay fee and get score card get your group together and off you go.

That is a really good price. Cant wait to come up. I have not shot clays in too long.

It would seem to be kept that low of a price because it is not a great money maker for the club a higher price would drive people away and / or they would have to invest money into that portion of the club. While it is available it does not have the amenities that places like Colorado Clays might. It is a very basic 10 station course with one port-a-john, it is not advertised and for what its worth I don't know of care how it compares to other places as I am there for the company of the regulars that attend. They also keep the price down by scavenging the fields after each shoot to pick up the unbroken clays for re-use.

USMC - I loaded 900 rds of 12-ga over the weekend, but now I can't find your event on the CRC schedule. Are you guys still out there on a regular basis?

Yes, its there still but not in "winter" months typically. I have not been out to the club in a year or so. "Personal issues" and all that. Ill have to look at the calendar.

It looks like the first one for the year is April 10th.
