Wife went ahead and ordered a new 8 x 8 shed for our house for storage. I would have waited a bit but she really wanted one now.

We discovered the shed doesn't come with a floor or shingles for the roof. So she ordered a kit. So here's my dumb question: I'm assuming the floor needs to be framed out, right, just like the floor on a house would be? Probably 4x4's around the sides and 2 x 4's for floor joists, right? Then once I have a frame I can just nail a couple of sheets of plywood to form the floor itself, right?

Anyone want to help me build a shed on Saturday? I can pay in beer! :D

Concrete slab with hold down anchor bolts installed when it is poured.
A wood floor in contact with the ground will rot out, even if is treated wood. Also, it will draw burrowing critters to live underneath it.

What ever you do, as bob posted you need to have the base off the ground to allow air circulation. If not it will rot.

Casons will keep it off the ground, but will only encourage animals to get under there even more.
