Patrons confronted Knowles and took the rifle away from him, he was also found in possession of a handgun.
Looking at his mug shot I'd say they "confronted" the holy hell outta the guy.

Looks like I found a bar!
Police arrived and made contact with Knowles who was lying on the ground near the front door.
[LOL]
Sounds like the guy down in the Springs (or was it Pueblo) that got into a bar fight - and lost. So he went home and got a rifle and some hand grenades and came back to the bar. 20+ years ago.
Those were the days.

IIRC the Springs, opened up with an AK. A Bandito , Paisano was killed while engaging the shooter in the parking lot,or entrance to bar. If that's the one you're referencing.

No sheltering in place for that crew. LOL
He's probably going to have plenty of time in a small cell, thinking about it.....

That sounds right. I think I remember a gang guy getting killed. One of my good friends lived across the street/very near there at the time.

Wow. Must be a a lot more to the story, cuz those two article just make it look like a major fail for the justice system.
Bayliss' victims were members of a 1% mc club, curious if that had anything to do with swaying the jury? These 24 years later be curious if things would turn out differently.
