View Full Version : Anyone near Parker with a cutting torch?
Looking for someone in Parker, Franktown, Elizabeth or Kiowa with a cutting torch. Very quick, simple job - I have an AR500 steel target plate and need the hanger hole enlarged. That's it! Will trade for a 6-pack of your favorite frosty beverage.
If I could stop by Sunday on my way to BLGC, that would be perfect. I have a torch set, but the oxygen bottle is empty. For what an exchange would cost, I could get 3-4 more AR500 plates, and then it wouldn't get used again for who-knows-how-long.....

Plasma torch would work too. You are just too far away.

I was there Wednesday and would have brought the torch. oh well.
No worries, we have a lot of members in these four towns. If nothing else, I'm sure the caretaker that lives out at BLGC has one.

Probably farther than you want to go, but I have both Plasma and Oxy/Acet outside of Boulder.
A cutting torch will mess up the heat treat much more than a plasma.
I got a dremmel and a bunch of cut off wheels.. Same thing, right?[ROFL1]
Just leave it at the range for a week, it will be full of holes.

LOL, truth.
Yeah, I have both too, but the wrong direction for you

I'm only wanting to open up the bottom of the hanger hole, not concerned about the heat treating of the whole plate. Won't hurt it any.
Dammit, I wish I knew why I can't upload photos from my phone anymore, never used to be a problem.....only seems to be with photos taken WITH my phone.
Still need this done.....
