Hello all- Have a GP100 in .327 that has a decent trigger but I would like it to be improved. Any recommendations for a Smith in the Denver area that is a Ruger guru? Thanks

If you feel comfortable, DIY

Yeah, swapping two springs will make a noticeable improvement. If you're handy and don't get all stupid while doing it a little polishing while you're swapping those two springs will make it even better.

I've done the DIY treatment on GP100 and an SP101. No issues with either, as they are easy to work on. I ended up selling the GP, but the SP101 has a double action 9 lb pull and 3 lbs in single action, and very smooth.

I was talking to Roger at Ark not too long ago and he said he's getting pretty good at smoothing up those actions. I've never known him to overstate his abilities, so he might be an option.
