Not likely. Liability reasons, among other things. But, there might be. Might check with City of Denver or whoever deals with tourist things.

I used to work in a fairly tall one at 17th & Curtis. We had equipment on the roof and needed access frequently. It could be interesting, also freakin' cold and windy or hot as hell. Never really wanted to hang out. Might have been cool for fireworks shows, but that wasn't allowed. I'm sure the building employees were up there though.

Peaks Lounge is on the 27th floor of the Hyatt Regency. All indoors (no outside balcony), but great views.

I work on a top floor of Republic Plaza (white rectangular). I believe it is the tallest downtown. There are no public observation spots in the building.

I see people occasionally in our lobby trying to peak a quick view. You trying to get a group or a few?

Republic Plaza is the tallest building in Denver. I've been to the 52nd or 54th (the top 2 floors were occupied) floor back in the early 90s when it was open to the public but a bunch of punks trashed it and building management closed it off.

The views were incredible.

I've been in 1801 California too, during the 80s when my company had offices there.

I've been on the roof of 1801 California a few times in the 90's when my dad was the maintenance guy there. Back then they had a camera on the roof that you could move around and zoom in on things.

My mother worked in 1001 17th St when I was a child. I have not been in one of the buildings downtown in close to 30 years so I was just curious if such a public floor existed to go check out the view.

The Colorado State Capitol dome and observation deck, closed to the public since 2006, reopened for public tours today, Oct. 2, 2014, following a nearly four year restoration project.
Not sure if it is still open, but you could call.
Great views of the mountains that are protected.
