Kind of a dumb question.
Do any "GI Slings" Work with an yugo sks? Or are their special ones? Been considering learning to use one.
I found this little "how-to" also. Does that sum it up pretty well?

I don't think it will, If I remember corretly the front sling mount it smaller the the rear. I think the SKS had a cloth sling with tapped leather ends on it.
The front attachment point might be a little small. I'm sure You could rig up a piece of para cord and use that as the point. If You wanted to go that way..
You should be able to find the "commie approved" sling at a gun show for about $5...

I already have a sling for it. I guess I just need to learn how to use the thing I guess. This whole Bipod thing isnt working out well.
Oh Okay,, for support.. If you wanted to show up at the club shoot, I could give you a demonstration...

Definitly appreciated. I'll probably take you up on that. I dont think I will be able to attend the one on the 10th since I will have family in town visiting. Perhaps in Novermber.
EDIT: I think mine is a carrying strap. Can I still use that for such a purpose?
As long as it's adjustable.. Should be able th figure something out..
If You come in Nov. . Be sure to bring a pumpkin...[Tooth]

I have found I can fire tighter groups with a sling then a bipod now that I have been practicing, think it has more to do with following all the proper steps when in sling vs getting lazy with the bipod.
I started almost this exact thread topic on another board, thanks for the links.
Unfortunately, the sling on the old rifle I just got broke when I was handling it. :(

The appleseed stuff is what prompted me to ask.
Are you heading to the Brighton shoot coming up?
Anyway, I have an extra sling you can take for a test drive if you get down my way or to Downtown Denver. Also, they will have some lending slings at the shoot if you need one.
