I'm usually pretty skeptical and guarded about stuff, but guess I had my pants down the other day on April 1st. Read something on Farcebook about Wyoming Wildlife Dept. releasing the first 90 kangaroos of 5 planned releases of 90 each, for a total of 450 kangaroos to be released in the grasslands of Wyoming.

Jeeze, what a dumbass - I fell for that one hard, face planted right in the middle of it.

Post up your search history.

I'd believe it in Texas. Don't feel too bad though, there is a very real commercial on Pandora right now about reintroducing wolves to Colorado.

I commented on that one, "Won't they compete for resources with the Chupacabra?"

On a serious note, after traveling many desolate areas of WY, I don't know why they don't "reintroduce" bison.

They could even raffle tags.

Probably because of the cattle ranchers, they probably own most of the land.

IMHO, they're trying to manage the DNA of the Bison, and while I'm not discounting smaller mom and pop operations, both Bison and beef ranching are big business.

According to what I recall from the wiki I skimmed a while back, there's still some miniscule fraction of beef cow DNA present in most of the Bison population. There's some magic elixir of bull/cow that can produce pure offspring.

Frankly, I don't see them ever preventing cross species breeding to some small degree, but then I'm not an animal husbandry expert.

In fact, I don't really even know what that means. lol

Got me too. I read the whole article and my first thought was, "Getting my ass kicked by a kangaroo while antelope hunting is going to suck."

So, I should try to get my money back for that kangaroo tag I put in for?

I also fell hard for one posted on another forum.

Was pissed and slamming my keyboard for about 15 minutes until I could bring myself to read the additional links. [facepalm]

Which one?

I just thought of a great one that a lot of people would fall for next year, but I'm too lazy to do it. Oh well.

Ranches, Rail Roads, and Energy companies own HUGE chunks of WY.

I had posted that I'd really like to see a coyote get kicked into the next county.

.357SIG or .40 host case. Something like a 7-8 die process. Crazy.

Not sure anyone is actually doing it.
