H. R. 38 National Reciprocity Act
To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide a means by which nonresidents of a State whose residents may carry concealed firearms may also do so in the State.
When I checked the status of H. R. 38 this morning, I noted that all Colorado Republican US Representatives except Mike Coffman (R) of Colorado's sixth Congressional District are co-sponsors of the act. I don't live in the district, and his web site doesn't accept mail from anyone not in his district.
It may be time for residents of his district (Aurora, Centennial, Littleton, Brighton, and Henderson) to start emailing and contacting his local office and start asking why.
The act, which Michael Bloomberg is putting $25 million into opposing, would allow concealed carry in any state that allows concealed carry by a non-resident that has a permit in his own state.
