Looking for a right hand, OWB, holster for a glock 19 with extended/threaded barrel and an Inforce APLight.

Anyone have any sources? I've google-fu'ed and contacted Crossbreed, Bravo, Gravity, and a few others but they don't seem to carry what I need. Or if they do it's like a 6 week wait and an exorbinant amount. A lot of places are now switching to a "quick ship" option where they only have what they have in stock and do not do custom work, etc... Anyone have any sources/thoughts/etc?

Thank you.

If you want leather, shoot HBARTactical a message. His work is top notch and I bet he'd be willing to work with you.

I think he does some kydex as well.

not me, I dont have any inforce lights. it doesnt work out buying odd ball stuff like that, nobody else has EVER had one. Tlr and X300. I would spend all that money on a light and probably never use it again. I think most makers are that way. IF its something they forsee using again of course they will buy it. How many people use inforce lights? I dont know, but I dont think its many.

Valid points.

Hmm.. Would it work out if I brought you the gun/light to use to create a mold? Just curious, if you say "no", then understood.

They just opened a storefront in superior or lafayette (somewhere in that vicinity)

No idea if they will make one while you wait

Also, check out Colorado Holster--steve is a member on here. Have several of his and they work great

When they were smaller, Long's Shadow would do one-offs on request. They made me a rig for my Sig 1911 with threaded barrel and X300 where the barrel was completely covered, along with a true one-off for a 629 PC with G-Code wheel bracket and Blade-Tech Level II retention. I don't know if they are still willing to do custom work, but that is who I'd go to for a one-off Kydex mold to the gun.

Edit: They also made me this enclosed barrel OWB holster for the above-mentioned Sig, as well as the magazine pouch molded to accommodate both a .45 ACP Wilson Mag and a 10mm Sig 220 mag, which have similar tube dimensions but different feed lip geometries.

To hijack this thread.

Been toying with trying to carry my Para Ord 5" 1911. I open carried other guns years ago but for a long time now it's only been duty gun in thumb button retention holster or shield in a IWB.

Despite it's size, I think I could IWB due to my size. But kinda looking for something that could possibly due double duty as a tucked in shirt open carry or baggy summer tshirt concealed. During winter an OWB I might get away with some coats, but generally, I'm assuming IWB is only smart option.

FWIW I also carry at the 2-3 oclock roughly. I couldnt tolerate reaching all the way back behind me to get stuff, especially requiring a draw up out of the holster.

You'd be fine. I've carried a Government sized 1911 of one flavor or another for years, in all seasons. A good belt and a holster designed for the weapon, and it will conceal just fine. Throw on the uniform of middle age (khakis, collared shirt) and you will be invisible in most situations. Even shorts you can wear a belt with, and a light weight button down. Even if you have the figure of a 40-year old who can eat half a large pizza by himself. Just buy a good carry belt and the right holster, and don't worry about it.

The Long's Shadow Antero is convertible between IWB and OWB.

G-Code makes an OWB G-19 Inforce APL Holster. Any of the Safarilands' designed to hold a weapon light SHOULD hold an APL. Curious though, why the APL?

Curious though, why the APL?

Got my hands on an Inforce APL, Streamlight TRL2, and a Surefire X300... for me, I just liked the form/function/fit/light spread of the APL the best out of those three. Different strokes for different folks. Plus it was cheaper than the other two as well, but that "cheaper" did not seem to me as a "cheap build/knockoff". Only time will tell I guess. YMMV

Here's a company closer to you that seems to offer what you need, you'd have to ask about the barrel. (just looked at pics on site, barrel should be ok) Unfortunately front page shows 4 weeks lead though. I picked up one of their holsters at a retail store locally, very happy with it but can't speak about customer service.

Red Leg Tactical makes nice custom holsters. I have several from there and I'm a very picky individual. They are next door to Springs Armory. http://www.shop.redlegtactical.com/

Well, we can stray out into the woods as to what "custom" means, but Long's Shadow will make an OWB holster for a glock 19 with a threaded barrel and an Inforce APL light--which is why I put the link in the thread. The light, barrel, etc., are all options.

Their website says up to six weeks turnaround. I got my latest order within 30 days.

Boy I really wish Ray at Lobo Gun Leather didn't retire and sell the business. By all accounts the guys in Iowa or Ohio that bought it do fine work, but it was nice to be able to just drive down to Pueblo, drop off a gun and let him work his magic on the leather (and priced so well too).

unless he has an FFL he couldnt do that anymore. (and what logs it in, transfer, I dont know.???) thanks democrats.

I have had people ask me this. I wont take the chance. It sounds cool to say F the man, but I have a family and I wont be a test case.

Ah, right ... forgot about that ... fucking Democrat filth

I was underwhelmed by the lackluster light output, the mostly polymer construction, and the ease at which the light could be inadvertently turned on inside a holster. Supposedly the new Inforce WML Rifle lights have a better blend of polymer to resist cracking apart which was a thing on the old models, I cant say for sure if they've updated the APL's too.

The one thing I appreciate about the APL is the size. Bladetech may make an option for your setup, and I'm pretty sure OTGHEX.com does as well.

I second (or third?) the suggestion of contacting Steve @ ColoradoHolster.com as that dude can make just about anything you want and he'll do a mighty fine job of it as well. He's a forum member, Sheriff Deputy, huge fan of guns, has a bad ass car and is an all around good dude. If he wasn't a friend I'd still give him all of my holster business based on the previous factors I mentioned.

you two need a room?

He doesnt list the inforce either. Not everyone is big enough to own every light and gun combination.
Longs Shadow is big enough to own all these lights.

I forgot to ask BigBear, what is the exorbitant amount to which you refer? How much is expensive to you? They are easy to make, just about anyone can make a kydex holster, its not rocket science. get on holstersmith or knifekits and order the stuff, quick and easy.

You haven't seen his car yet, have you? [LOL]

I thought he had an Inforce but maybe not? I'll bring his attention to this thread.

Not in person, just the pics he posted, it is very nice.

I hope he does a thread. I've got some pics too but man, you have to see that thing in person & running to truly appreciate it. Here's a teaser photo...

I have a couple from KT Mech. Just add threaded barrel in the comments. You can also pay for the priority build and get it in a few days.

Eh, like I said, different strokes for different folks. I don't mind the APL and I don't plan on being a super operator, etc. It works for me.

Expensive to me is over $150 for a piece kydex. I know the process and probably "could" watch some youtubes and figure it out to make my own... but time is a very limiting factor in my life. Most of the setup's I was looking for are around that $150 price for just a kydex shell... thought that was high. For me, I don't make a lot of income so I have to shop around for things.
