Just starting a thread to ask for personal reviews and thoughts on AR10 piston kits.

I plan on installing one on my recently purchased AR10 and will be sharing my review / experience here as well once installed.

I run a Hogan with the short stroke piston. He designed it for POF and I've never had issues with it. Barrels with gas systems shorter than carbine length have over cycling issues running full auto. That's the only issue I've seen with the POF/Hogan design. It doesn't fit under standard height forearms either.

I’m a fan of the POF/Hogan 308 as well. Only thing I dislike is she doesn’t like cheap or remanufactured ammo. Otherwise, Hogan or a POF is a great choice.

I have a POF 308 and it shoots very well. I know others with the same rifle and they are also pleased with the performance of the POF.
