There's only one thing I enjoy as much as firearms, and that's Star Wars. But, I have to say that meme is hillarious.

As far as Cinco de Mayonaise, may you all celebrate with great joy the day commemerating the Mexican victory in a battle of a war they eventually lost. Drink up, but go easy on the beans.

Unless you're French. Actually I don't even think they care anymore.

Leave it to the Mexicans to celebrate a military victim against The French ... in a war they would eventually lose ... started because they borrowed money from France to fight the US and refused to pay them back.

They don't because the actual Independence day (Día de la Independencia) is Sept 16. The 5th of may was a victory in the town of Puebla. or as it's called in Mexico La batalla de Puebla

I know, and it feels the same.

My comment was sort of tongue-in-cheek. Christmas is celebrated many, many countries around the world, not just America, and Columbus Day is a couple of parades here and there in the US - not exactly a "holiday" for me personally, more like a day to be recognized like Presidents Day and St. Patrick's Day. Maybe I should have included Kwanzaa in my (failed) sarcasm.

And do you really feel one way or the other? Someone says something jokingly or even nasty about Christmas and I'm like "Pffffft, whatever man".

Yup. Anyone who took Spanish class in middle school know that Mexicans do not celebrate 5/5.

According to international students from Dublin, st Patricks day isn't biggie like US either.

I didn't view your comment in any particular way, I knew what you meant. I'd explain, but I realized that this thread has had enough of my whining.

Cinco de Mayo, brought to you buy Corona beer and Jose Cuervo tequila. 30 years ago not much was made of May 5th.

Today, just another drinking holiday in 'murica.

I also had tacos today, but it was in Cheyenne at the Burger Inn, so they were terrible.

I had fried spring rolls (kinda like a taquito, right?) and a noddle bowl. Does that count? I wanted Pho, but take out is a PITA with that. [Rant1]

Is the Pho in any of the casinos good yet?

There used to be a great little Pho place in Old Colorado City in The Springs called Pho65, they closed (landlord rented their spot out from under them to Wild Ginger ... which is real good Thai) but they were doing something with Bronco Billy's (Pho54) in Cripple Creek. If Pho54 is half as good as Pho65 it should be real darn good.

I never make it down to Cripple Creek, pretty much just Blackhawk for me.
