kahles k624i - how to tell if counterfeit

Someone offered me this scope in trade - values wise it is much more than my trade which has me suspicious. any experts here know what to look for? thanks

I would try calling Kahles and tell them of you concerns and ask for some help. I have had good luck by doing that with other manufactures.

Get the Ser # and call Kahles/Swarovski and ask is the only way to be certain.

Couple things of note, current production is of a Gen3 version of the scope, and Gen1 and Gen2 units are worth MUCH less on the secondary market. To the point they are hard to even sell sometimes as not many want the older versions. The Generations have to do with some minor updates internally from Gen1 to Gen2, and Mostly just optical coatings from Gen2 to Gen3.
