Can anyone help me here. I got a guy interested in my truck with this as a partial trade. What I know is

It's a 2005 Yamaha R6
16k miles
Rebuilt from Salvage title. He said a lady backed into it and bent the swing arms and messed up the fairings.

What would be a quick decent price I could sell it for?

Without a rebuilt title, honestly it's $3500 bike. With a rebuilt title, I wouldn't take more than $1000 for it personally.

What did the ins co say? Totaled for a bent swing arm, more likely frame was tweaked. Did he do the repairs or a shop?
Here's an 07, clean title with gear for $3K

See what Tfogger says. Myself an import salvage title12 yr old mc I'd give him less than southpaw would. Unless i dropped my R6 and wanted it as aparts bike.

NADA puts a clean example with a clean title at $3800, figure it's worth about half of that with the salvage title, maybe a little more in season.

My play would be to tell him to sell the bike and put the cash towards your truck. You might find some dumb kid on Craigslist that might give you a grand for it. Then again you might not. Just looking at the picture it looks like a serious piece of shit. Things usually look better in pictures than in person.

2005 was also the last year of the generation of R6. If it were an 06 it would be worth a bit more than that bike. Considering it is now two generations old with the 2017 R6 being another change that does not help value either.

This

I personally would not deal with a motorcycle that had a salvage title.

It takes almost nothing to total a motorcycle. I had my 2004 R1 backed into in a parking lot and caused $4500 worth of damage. I had to tell the insurance company that some of the damage was already there so they didn't total it. I took the money and sold the bike as is with the damage and doubled up that way.

Since it has a rebuilt title, I wouldn't give much for it. Those appear to be aftermarket fairings and a cheap exhaust. Those bikes aren't worth much any more these days.

Call Steel's Cycles in Denver and send them the photos and see what they would give you for it. They do salvage and used bikes, it may have some parts value to them.

$1500, assuming its sorted out and rides ok. Less if its hacked and not in operating shape.

As someone who used to buy and sell salvage title bikes all the time. Max I would pay for it would be $850 - and I would sell it for ~$1700 to some teenage kid with cash in his pocket who doesn't care about the salvage title.

Kinda what I was thinking the guys only about $500 off of what my bottom cash price is so we will see if he can get $500 more and I won't even need the bike which would be ideal. Sucks he and I are so close but so far it seems
