Hey guys looking for some ideas or help here.

I'm looking to color (possibly cerekote) an AR that I am building. Before I assemble it I was thinking of coloring the upper, lower, and aluminum hand guard. I was thinking of some type of gray to do this to offset the black barrel, buttstock, and buffer tube. Other than Cerekote, what options are out there? Is Cerekote the best?

Thanks.

Cerakote if you already have the parts. If you have to buy the parts anyways you could just already buy them in the color you want.

Spray paint is your cheapest option. I did one in OD green and later changed my mind. A little time with some mineral spirits and a toothbrush and it was back to normal.

I have all the parts and they have not been assembled yet, so I want to make a decision on something prior to assembling.

Check out DuraCoat (https://www.lauerweaponry.com). I haven't used it, but I've heard good things.
