Hi,
Want to take my kiddos into the mountains and hit an easy trail, or maybe just a region with forest roads.

My car is an 05 Suburban, stock 4x4, so ground clearance is meh.
Any recomendations for North CO, Longmont or further North?

Looking for a day type ride to see if the kids like trail riding. All day type ride with stop on trail for lunch or dinner. Maybe camping over night.

Many thanks

I'm also looking for such things and might be interested in a trip together if you don't want to travel alone. Just a few hour easy trail is what I'm looking for to test the wife's grand cherokee.

Red Feathers and Upper Cherokee Park have miles and miles of easy roads through the forest.

Bunce School Road is an easy trail near you but it will be very busy.

https://traildamage.com is all I've used for years, it's made for many a great trail ride, from easy scenic, to extreme.

ETA: It would appear that they are now charging a membership fee, looks like $1, which I'll likely be paying, as the service they provide is excellent.

The fee will go up to $15.

Yes it will, but it is a dollar now, and does not appear to be an auto-renew type membership, so if for a dollar the membership has been good to you, then you can decide if it's worth $15 or not. I don't know if I would/will pay $15 or not, but back when I was just starting out, and wheeling every weekend, $15 a year would have been a bargain for me.
