So I had kind of a frightening thought today.
Basically, the Democrats, in their quest to reverse the results of an election they lost fair-and-square, have put the United States in the position where the only reason we will continue to exist as a nation is because of the benevolence of Vladimir Putin.
At this point, Putin could destroy us by simply calling a press conference and saying "Yeah, we rigged the election for Trump. We changed millions of votes from Hillary to Trump. Ha ha, whatcha gonna do about it, you silly yanks?"
And boom. We descend into chaos and likely civil war (no way our economy would survive such news and there's likely millions of Americans that would rise up against the federal government if they removed Trump over this nonsense, especially if they put Hillary in his place).

I have this theory about the "Cold War". It ended because of both governments agreeing we have had "non positive contact" with space aliens. Now we have a jointly manned International space station. Whole thing is considered "Above Top Secret". Just my .02 cents...
All the polis are just frontmen and figureheads. The real truth terrifies the average joe six pack. So they keep the populace distracted with the mainstream media. Flame away in 3...2...1...

I figure ole Vlad is smart enough to know this. So either he's waiting on several train car loads of Gold from Soros before he drops this bomb ... or maybe he's a decent guy.

Cold War (WWIII) ended because Reagan converted it from a physical war of attrition (proxy conflicts) to an economic one. USSR tried to keep up but failed in a decade. This is why I call it WWIII, in economic terms it surpassed the other two world wars and had forced us into multiple recessions (latest under Carter).
That and the space aliens withdrew all their Rubles from Russian banks, of course.
OP, I'm convinced that civil war is coming no matter what Putin says. I see your point and it's a valid one. What this conflict ultimately comes down to is the ownership of other humans and their labor (paychecks). It can't be resolved by any means other than violence and history confirms. So who knows what sets it off but we should be clear on what both sides demand.

Even Democrats admit that Russia didn't change any votes. They all freely admit that Russia's "interference" in the election was merely airing the DNC's dirty laundry and proving to Bernie fans that the DNC intentionally pushed him out to make room for their chosen one. Who then lost to an idiot.

This.
There is no way, physically, without individual voting machines being infiltrated by Russian programming, to "change the votes" in an election. Meddling is one thing, completely changing the outcome physically? That's a bit of a stretch. And it's already been revealed that DNC staffers, and others, leaked the DNC emails, showing just how corrupt the Dems really are. That is what I believe sunk Hillary's ship. Combined with the fact that most of America was sick of the left's crap and wanted actual change.
None of this is real. We're just generating electricity in the matrix.
Don't worry... they are unarmed

Don't worry, the media is hard at work trying to change this narrative through "anonymous" sources.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4601070/Russian-cyber-attacks-affected-states-election.html
Russia tried to delete or alter voter data during cyber attacks that affected virtually EVERY state before the election
They are also trying to make the case to give the feds more control over the elections...something outrageously unconstitutional....by blaming the hacking on the fact that the feds don't have authority over the states' voter services.
All this is forgetting the fact that at least two state AGs filed not so kindly worded letters to DHS accusing them of hacking their voter databases. (Indiana and Georgia) Which DHS was caught red handed.
Anyone with even an ounce of critical thinking asks themselves one thing. Who has more motive to hack state voter records? Russia or the Feds? The answer is clearly the Feds do. Names of voters and campaign finance data is worthless to the Russians. But that stuff is GOLD for the crooked Feds.
We're being hustled boys and girls. And the media is the propaganda machine driving it.

Truth.
And anyone who thinks investigations act as checks-and-balances...Special Counsel Mueller has hired a former Clinton Foundation lawyer to help with the investigation. If that's not dirty, what is?

Daily Mail is a pretty garbage source, it's a supermarket tabloid.
But even then, our intelligence services said that they didn't successfully change or remove any votes in any of the jurisdictions they gained access to.

I wasn't citing it as an honest source. I was citing it as a BS propaganda machine just like CNN, MSNBC, Huffpo and others that the vast majority of the public believes are trustworthy.
Trump haters push reports that "intelligence sources" confirmed the Russians tried to hack our systems but were't successful. But, they will absolutely run with any story that says the the Russians did get in despite the fact it contradicts the source for their earlier argument.
The media is dishonest and doesn't even try to hide it anymore.
Putin just needs to be dead, Kim Jong Un as well. There's a few others but that would be a good start.

Well they are the propaganda wing of the democratic party... I hate the term "fake news" but it seems that's mostly what there is anymore.

I really don't think Putin is that big of a threat... I think the media just portrays him as a bigger villain than he really is.

I agree on both. The media uses Putin to distract us from the real threats, the federal government, democrats, and muslims.
We can agree to disagree on Putin. He is nothing more than old school KGB mentality. In Russia if you disagree you disappear. Everywhere you go his picture and words of how wonderful he is are everywhere. Yesterday the leader of the national protest was taken in to custody leaving his house. I'm not saying anyone here is a fan but among many of us on the more right of things there's almost an adulation of him that to me is sickening and reprehensible. I know for some it was in direct contrast at our former failed joke of leadership. He's a vicious thug that should be eliminated.
We are in a cold war again-did it ever truly end?-I'm sorry, don't mean to jump on my soapbox and again I'm not directing my comments to any of you here. I have the utmost respect for the members here, everyone I've met is truly a good guy. Ok, I'll calm down and back out, we obviously have enough of our own serious issues right here at home to be of bigger concern.
Be safe all.

The problem is that the Dems can't figure out if they want to be buddies or enemies with the Ruskies. Remember Romney's comment about Russia? They laughed, and Obama palled around with Russia a bit. Now that Trump wants to try to find common ground to attempt to work together, grrr Russia iz bad? I say we keep them at arms length and watch them closely, but no need to go into all out war, or send some CIA SMU to take Putin out.

Much better stated than my emotional rant, thank you and I agree.
I can't identify the Russians as "bad" since they have the right mindset in dealing with 'radical Islam'.
Do the Russians try to gain global influence wherever they can. Sure. We don't have an exclusive patent on that.
