Hello all,
The time has come for me to pull the plug on my NFA Trust business.
I saw a significant decline in Trust business beginning with the implementation of the Obama law--41F-- last summer. There was another drop off after President Trump was elected.
Recently, business has tailed off to the point where it no longer makes sense for me to continue accepting new clients. I'll continue to support existing clients for a minimum of one year after their Trust purchase. As many of you have experienced, I'm not too strict on the one year thing! :-)
Thanks to all of you and all of my 100's of clients from this board and elsewhere over the past 4 years!
Best regards,
Rod
Thank you for my trust and my brothers

Thanks for all the past help Rod!
Sounds like Silencershop and other kiosk operations and 41F are hurting lots of folks in this regard.
Best wishes.

Actually, I responded directly to your friend. I was willing to make an exception because it was coming from you and you were always great with referrals. Never heard back from her so I assumed she changed her mind. Didn't want to be a creepy salesman about it so I let it go. Have her contact me at Rodney at WoodardLaw dot com if she still wants to do something.
As much as anything, I was getting tired of the 10 to 1 ratio where I'd spend tons of time explaining things and then never see any business from it. I suspect that folks are using me for free advice and explanations and then buying a $99 DIY solution from a non-lawyer. I'll still do one here and there if I can verify the source of the referral and don't get the feeling I'm being taken advantage of.

If we ever meet in person, you'll quickly realize you're not too far off. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I just really like to eat!
The DA handling my stolen guns asked were I learned about the trust. I said it was from a lawyer on the internet and explained the questionnaire and process. The DA was impressed with the quality and completeness of your trusts. This DA was the head DA for Denver and was filling in for the DA who started but went in maturnity leave.
Thank you for all the help and guidance you have given to countless members and Industry partners here!
