This article is an insult to the singer named in the article and the singer was contacted because of hazard flashers activated on the tour bus, no misconduct and no "run-in". 9 news had a quality news program years ago but they deteriorated over time and continue to fall to lower standards with "Fake News". This headline is very misleading and clearly just another attempt to gain attention. I quit watching them as my primary news channel a few years ago.

I don't see other Denver news stations resorting to this behavior and I hope they won't follow. Many of their past broadcasters were respectable people with dignity and class but most are gone now and replaced with painted ladies and talking heads.

Their website has been pure aids for a while now. Awful ads and ads that are supposedly "reporter researched great deals". Garbage memory use, multiple full screen pop over ads. Articles frequently with bad misspellings not just mixing up their and there for example. Turned off comments a long while back. And does a lot of anti trump type attack ads. (Vs some random affiliates elsewhere actually ran news on CNN getting recorded admitting to russia hoax/nothing burger.

I didn't think the news piece was that bad.

KUSA - There’s a lyric that says the perfect country western song must mention mama, trains, trucks, prison and getting’ drunk.

By that logic, a run-in with Thornton Police would be a very, very country thing to do (think Johnny Cash).

This story, however, is a lot more innocent.

Thornton Police tweeted early Tuesday morning that an officer rolled up on a tour bus with its hazards on.

Clint Black was headed to a show at Balloon Fiest Park in Albuquerque.

“Yep! And those lights on the patrol car are brighter than my spotlights!” Black tweeted back at Thornton PD.T

Thornton Police can catch Clint again on Aug. 19. He’ll be playing at the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities.

After they were acquired by Tegna, they have been circling the drain. Also, a good deal of their "local" news is from elsewhere. I don't look at a local news site for the news in Columbus, Ohio (even if it's relatively interesting).

The Denver Post had a little different headline on their article.
9News gets a lot of their news from reading the Post, but reduces it to "sound bites"
Not just 9News, but all of the local channels. They don't have reporters any more, just readers.
