I guess I can't say I'm shocked, but I guess the panel liked the apologetic hack the most. Does anyone else think this may have been a little very very biased?

I don't have time to read the article. I'm almost ready to install the Chia Obama head in it's place of honor at my new altar to the Great One.
Glorious Leader joins arafat (child molesting, aids ridden, murdering scum), jimmah carter (i'm surprised he has enough neurons to allow involuntary actions like breathing), kofi annan (let's steal $billions$ from iraqs people and help saddam murder more of his citizens), algore (do as I say, not as I do, because I'm better than you), and a host of other POS semi-human trash.
This link will take you to a list of previous winners and their activities.

Biggest BS to date!
Got to give the guy credit though, he can talk the talk.
Pity his deliverables are non-existent.

Really, I bet he was handing out his Kool Aid to the nomination panel. This proves that the world is in more trouble than most thought. My dog deserves the award more than he does. He sniffs and licks others as well as Obama does. Whats next? The Pope will proclaim to the world that BHO shall become a saint- forget that waiting period, just give it to him now.

Nah, the Catholic Church isn't a big supporter of BO. [Flower]
Well, he started his speech saying he didn't deserve it, but then he immediately went into some spiel about nuclear weapons, climate change, and accepting differences in people.

It was said the cut-off date for nominations was only ten days after President Obama was inaugurated
So,, Who wants to nominate Me for next years?
Gobal warming (whoops,, Climate change),, Nuclear disarmament,, Peace,hope,harmony... Yadda,,, Yadda,,, yadda......
That cover it??
I was mad, but then everyone kept mentioning that Al Gore and Yasser Arafat also won this prize. Now I'm not as bothered as it is clear that this award has been worthless for a long time. If Rod Blagoyovich would off him self, I'd nominate him.

I think Glen Beck should get the Nobel Prize for his book Arguing with Idiots
The cut off was February 1, 2009. 'glorious leader' had been in power for 13 days.
Since then the annointed one has seen an increase in global terrorism, the taliban starting to get the upper hand due to new rules of engagement for our troops, an islamofascist from Aurora getting indicted on charges of terrorism and saying he 'wants to kill americans'. Good ol' obambi, bringing love, joy and peace to all the world.

To me the really disturbing thing about this Nobel prize being handed to Obama is that it is yet another example of how he is viewed as some kind of savior. I don't get it. Even if a guy was an ardent Obama supporter, wouldn't one want to see actual results before praising Obama as if he were the messiah?
In his own arrogant narcissistic (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=gm&sourceid=gmail&ei=O17PSrjqKomV8AbwhMz7Aw&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=narcissistic&spell=1) way I think he should have gotten it at Birth.......

Explaining this year's selection, the committee credited Obama not for concrete accomplishments but for atmospheric ones. "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said. "His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population."
F the majority of the world's population and their political stances. He was hired to represent the AMERICAN population and what our country represents. I've seen the majority of the world's populations governments and I DON'T WANT IT.
He should be embarrased he's seen in this light. Sweden's income taxes are in the 60-75%, Canada and Australia stripped their citizens of the majority of their firearms, England stripped their citizens of all of their firearms, England taxes their citizens on EVERYTHING to dish out the money to the masses on the doll. The Spanish treat their military like convicts and their citizens protest their own military bases. The Saudi's Whabbist ways and dictatorship by the Saud tribe, financing over 80% of the world's madrasa schools across the planet perpetuating blind faith in the Hambali sect of the Sunni Religion, allowing the circumsizing of their women to control them. These are just out allies. They love Obama.
Locke is rolling over in his grave. I heard Ayn Rand had a press release from her grave stating she wishes to defect back to Germany.

All I can do is quote the White House's Press Secretary and say "Wow."
In light of other recent winners, I can't really say that I am all that surprised. Especially if you look at the makeup of the committee: Unlike the other Nobel Prizes, which are awarded by Swedish institutions, the peace prize is given out by a five-member committee elected by the Norwegian Parliament. Like the Parliament, the committee has a leftist slant, with three members elected by left-of-center parties.
I'm still very disappointed...

I think its amazing how much of the public is standing behind the award decision as well. I'm not sure if people are blind or just stupid. Unfortunately it was even a discussion (rather a celebration) in one of my classes today. The guy hasn't done anything positive for the world, save uniting the mentally deficient sheep in our species.

So if I promise to change the world but not deliver can I get a peace prize? Oh wait forget the prize, can I be president. What a joke this administration has become. Whoops i think I was just reported for saying something "fishy".[ROFL2][ROFL2][ROFL2]

I dunno, I think the last time I was rewarded for good intentions and no results was kindergarden. Certainly not at my job! The disappointing thing is how this has soiled what the award stands for, or at least what I thought it stood for.

I am with you all of the way on this!
Germany:
Der Spiegel: Obama's Nobel Prize Is More of a Burden Than an Honor
The Nobel Peace Prize has come too early for Barack Obama. The US president cannot point to any real diplomatic successes to date and there are few prospects of any to come
Canada National Post: Shiny Prize Went to the Nice Man Who Gave the Best Speech
Obama is being given his award for mere words -- for striking fashionable poses in favour of multilateralism, for making a nice speech in Cairo, for offering "hope." Months after Americans learned to dismiss Obama's 2008 presidential campaign slogans as the meaningless bromides they were, Scandinavians are still drinking his Kool-aid.
Mexico:
El Universal: Compliments and Doubts from the World After Awarding of Nobel to Obama
The awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to U.S. President Barack Obama was praised in many parts of the world, but in others there were stunned reactions, referring to Obama's lack of tangible achievements on the world scene.
the peace prize is a joke.
barry is a joke.
I think it's fitting.
It wasn't always this way.
Teddy Roosevelt and Fridtjof Nansen both won the peace prize, they were totally badass.
Well remember,, This is the commitee that a few years ago decided the algore and and his scam deserved the prize more than the Dutch lady that saved Jews from the nazis during WWII.. Whatever credibility it still had after giving it to Arafat,,, went down the toliet.

That's true, I forgot about that. And I guess Kofi was just the icing on the cake.

Don't forget the nomination deadline is Feb 1st of that year, 8 months before the winner is announced. So he wasn't even in office a month before he was nominated/won.
The NPP is as irrelevant as the Academy Awards; both of which I don't give a rip about. They're all part of the mutual admiration society.

Funny>> If you look at the list of recipients it cites Al Gore's work regarding "climate change". It was called global warming then, not climate change. Let's just go ahead and rewrite history.
B.O. got this "distinguished" [ROFL1] award simply for his promises of hope and change.
I think we should all just get along and have no more bad things happen and no more violence. When do I get my award and check?
The Klintoons and algore are famous for rewriting history,,
They can keep the award,, just show me the money...[Abused]
