Some video that contains fairly accurate coverage of what happened. Man whips out gun while riding lawn mower and gets shot. DA says it was self defense.

SD? Maybe. But from the article, it sounds like the shooter has a history of being a prick. The two reportedly have history.....

The gun he wielded belonged to Phillips, who had not given Weigle permission to use it.
...
“I was sick that day and didn’t know he had my gun,” she said.

Phillips also said that Keller had repeatedly threatened to kill Weigle.

She said he also bashed her mailbox in so that it couldn’t receive mail.

I am fairly sure that Keller is no saint.

Unloads 15 ends and the mower dude seems to walk away fine. Apparently he wasn't, but still.
Couple of asshats.

Whole bunch o' stupid on both sides. Poor decision making, zero self control. Words are just words...

Lot's of questions... who puts a 'stealth cam' in their garden? Who does yard work wearing a side arm?

Who does yard work wearing a side arm?

Umm, I wear a sidearm while doing just about everything but f$%cking and sleeping.... I'm likely paranoid by most (including yours) standards.

All previous conflict aside if someone brandishes like that then I think the option to shoot back is on the table.

If I lived in the country I might wear one around the house/yard, but not in the suburbs.

And no, I don't think you're paranoid if you do.

Interesting, I always felt safer in the country than I do in the suburbs.

Man, I have my gun on my body post-shower in the AM till I'm buck naked and going to bed. It's like pants or a shirt.
