Nice. Is that tree in a zoo somewhere? Can't be that many species of animals all living in the same area.

"Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise is an Italian national park founded in 1922. The majority of the park is located in the Abruzzo region though it is not constrained by regional boundaries and also includes territory in Lazio and Molise. Wikipedia"

The video clips were obtained over the period of a year. It's a great video. I wouldn't be surprised to have as many species coming through my yard in a month, or even a week at certain times of the year. Last night we had another visit by a bear, and I found fresh fox, weasel and elk scat in the yard.

My neighbor just got a trail cam for her b-day, and yesterday set it up by a hole in the ground by the river near my cabin. I'm anxious to see if she got anything overnight. Probably just packrats and raccoons. I'm not keen on trail cams because they eat batteries fast and with most you have to climb up to get the data card. I didn't have good success with a Bushnell trail cam for catching images of Saw-whet Owls going to a nest box. It didn't trigger fast enough. I've been eyeing a Samsung wireless camera system at Sam's but not ready to pull the trigger yet.

Hummer....I've been wanting to put a few trail cams around here as well, but the batteries for curiosity is the deterent. We've seen just about everything up here over the years (except mt. lions, thankfully) but I'm sure there's a lot we're missing.

The Bushnell trophy cam I had would chew through a set of energizer lithium batteries in a day and a half. I ended up returning it.

I have several stealth cams. The g26 models I use the most last for thousands of 8mp pictures. I just picked them up after 5 months and they still had 30-40% battery left and took close to 5000 pictures each.

Just bought a Moutrie 999i that was on sale at Cabelas. The interweb reviews were favorable so I pulled the trigger. I've had it in the front yard at night for a week and the batteries are at 70% (8 AA's) Here's a shot from the first night I put it out. No wonder the dog is barking at night.
