finally got this thing done, hard to do on a college income haha. took it to the range yesterday. mind you i am not a good shot. period. but i had always used cheapo scopes and now that i got a legit one and a good barrel, wow, what a difference it makes. i could almost always hit exactly what i was aiming at once zeroed. the targets are both at 100 yards, the one with sporadic holes to the left is the one i used to zero, the other is just groups i put on it. i tried to spread them out after using the middle, youll see little groups here and there. even the outliers are ones i put on there to see if i could hit right where i wanted.
a parts list:
-del-ton upper, lower, bcg, parts kit (new trigger system is my next purchase hopefully)
-vortex viper 6.5-20x44 scope and burris P.E.P.R. scope mount. id recommend both
-magpul mbus
-white oak spr 1x7 18" barrel. i used 55 gr on this day but am reloading 62 grain and plan to use 69 grains later, as the 1x7 is supposed to be better with heavier loads
-yhm lightweight rail system
-harris clone bipod, not pictured, but very solid
-lmt stock
really besides the scope, which is around $425 with the rebate, and maybe the stock, the parts were semi affordable. its decently light weight and very solid. very happy with my first ar build, and did it all myself (except getting the barrel but off with the help of a friend).
