I don't normally post stuff from the other site, but this is not a normal situation.

Yep, to get a stranded female veteran, traveling with 2 kids back on the road again and home safe. What a bunch of idiots. [Beer]

spot on!

what exactly does the fact that she's a veteran have to do with anything? Other than she was unable to solve her own problems?

You don't know what she was doing on her end; all you know is what the thread on another forum has going back and forth. Being a female veteran has nothing to do with knowing how to fix a car. She reached out to at least one person, which is a way to define 'solving her own problem.'

Be nice.

Intermixing and criticizing other gun/shooter sites with this site is a poor decision IMO, local or not. In the matter of asking, giving or receiving advice on something important to them or to you is kind of a big deal. The poster should be treated respectfully....and if there was a shit show for that lady over there, I'd hope we would do a whole lot better for her over here.

I wouldn't bust on somebody needing help, and hope that advice given was solid and helpful and done respectfully if coming from us.

Completely agree, have some class, this isn't "the other site", and we are better than bashing someone in a bad spot.

So will the site address be changed to aaar-15.co? :D

Anyone broken down on the side of the road with 2 kids in tow needs help: female, male, vet or non-vet. Maybe not the same type of help as a male to female vet/non-vet. But that's a different thread.

Whole heartedly agree with everything said here. This site is NOT AR15.com. Here at COAR we show more respect to one another and pull together as a community - especially when someone is in need, even when that someone isn't a part of our community. This is what decent human beings do for one another. Anyone who has opinions not agreeable to these values are advised to keep it to themselves or take it elsewhere but it WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE HERE - PERIOD!

As to why this womans veteran status is important is impossible to explain to someone who isn't a veteran. Most every veteran has provided a service to this nation that can never be repaid. What we can hope to do is to show a bit of gratitude to a veteran when they are in need by providing them with non-judgemental assistance. If anyone disagrees with this you can take it up with me directly via PM's, not in this thread.

I sincerely hope I've made myself clear.
