View Full Version : Humidors
I'm in the market for a nice desktop humidor for my home office.
Does anyone have a unit to recommend or can point me to an online retailer?
Much appreciated.
Hit up KillianaK9 he is direct with cigars international I believe and can get you some cool quality stuff
Unless you're going for looks over function, I'd go tupperdor with boveda packs and a decent hydrometer, line it with spanish cedar . Most of us who do it long enough get fed up with the headache that is keeping a cedar box humid. I like JR cigars when I need to fill my humidors.

Or you can wait for someone on the forum to take a break from cigars and snatch his nice setup [Beer]
Or you can just smoke them faster so they don't dry out.
Or build your own humidor out of an ammo can.
I don't smoke as many as I used to, but I learned to don't cheap out on a humidor. My old one leaked air pretty bad and it was a pain to keep above 60% humidity.
My bride got me a new one a few years back and I only have to wipe down the lid every week or two to keep it at 70%.
One of the largest smoke shops on this side of the US is down here in the Springs, Stag Tobacconist. They have an excellent selection.

My wife got me an ammo can from Ammodor. I like it it a lot but you can probably build yourself.
Since we're on the topic, What humidity do most people keep their's at?

70% humidity is typically recommended.
If you lived some place where the humidity was close to 70% year round you could just leave your cigars out on the back porch.
Thanks for all the insight guys.

Speaking of you burn those sticks yet?? Btw I went through Killiank9 for my old setup too, just like Davsel said it's good stuff.

Of course, they've been replaced a few times by now.
Thanks again!
