I just heard that Glen Campbell died today at the age of 81. One of the best guitar players that ever lived. RIP Glen

Wichita Lineman used to be one of my favorite songs as a teen. I went to High School with his daughter in England.

I thought he was already gone...but maybe I'm remembering True Grit.
Thought this was a pretty thorough article: Glen Campbell, 'Rhinestone Cowboy' Singer Who Fused Country and Pop, Dead at 81 (http://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/glen-campbell-rhinestone-cowboy-singer-who-fused-country-and-pop-dead-at-81/ar-AApJyAK)
Vaya con Dios and Adios, Glen.

Glen Campbell came to us in the age when celebrities were people you could still look up to and respect. Mr. Campbell had class and an amazing voice.
R.I.P. Glen.
ETA: I've heard stories from people that met him in Fairplay and Del Norte back when True Grit was being filmed. The story I heard from Fairplay was in a restaurant there and Glen was very accommodating to fans. He seemed to be a truly appreciative star.
