I've never had one before. I bought a cheap one a few months ago and I've used it to cut a large tank apart for scrap pieces but that's about it.
Today, I took a cutout of a Corgi puppy (in case you can't tell) and transferred the outline to a piece of 16 ga steel. It's about 8"x10". I used the plasma cutter to cut out the outline. My technique isn't really smooth yet so a few mistakes but it was fun. I can see a lot of potential for this thing.

Before I saw the corgi reference, I was thinking..."Either those are some stubby antlers, or that's one wierd bear." [cigar]
As soon as I read the corgi part: BAM!! Instant recognition.. [Beer]
Should have known it was a corgi, coming from you. Not too shabby for a trial run.

Also my first time using Imgur...thus the overly large picture (I figured out how to resize it). Newbs... Somebody can complain about it in the "things that bother me" thread.

Primeweld Cut50DP. Non-touch pilot arc. 50amp. Lot of features for a cheap Chinese machine. Just over $300 on Amazon. Seemed to have good reviews although I think all those machines are the same, just a different name and color scheme.
Nice job for hand cut. Just wait until you move into CNC machines. It's awesome what you can come up with. The antelope skull hanger was done by hand before I had my table.

Nice job bro....perhaps you have a side or future main job making custom art for the masses.
Plasma cutters are really handy for sure.
Make one where the corgi's butthole is the doorbell button.
Different forum.
Yah...everyone knows this is the power puff pony forum.

Those are really nice. Love the antler hanger. I have a lot to learn. I made a second go on the Corgi and it came out much better. Did a nice salmon, too. Still just practicing and learning.

You've got something going for you there. Keep messing with it and I bet you'll learn some cool tricks and come up with some really good stuff that people will pay high end money for. I've seen the open wallets for stuff like that.
You have some talent Bro....keep playing with it.
