Looks like they did more than "hold him down". [Flower]

Employees take down robber armed with shotgun
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Employees of a Long Island thrift store managed to take down a robber armed with a shotgun.
It happened about 8:30 p.m. at Islant Thrift on Middle Country Road in Centereach. Police say Ronald J. Kelly ented the store and pointed a shotgun at 6 employees and demanded money.
The store manager feared the situation was becoming dire and she grabbed the shotgun. Two other employees joined the struggle, gained control of the shotgun.
They wrestled Kelly to the ground, holding him down until Suffolk County police officers arrived.
The suspect was hurt during the altercation and was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment. None of the employees were hurt.
Kelly, 45, of Holtsville, New York was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. It was unclear if he had a lawyer.

Floor must have been wet !!!
I love a good ending.
But how did a bad guy get a gun in Cuomo's NY? Sounds like they need more gun control...
Must have tripped on one of those clothing racks.

Awesome job....I like the good ending as well.
He might have tripped and fell on the way to the station....
He was like that when he got there.

Considering he was from Holtsville, no doubt. The entire Island is plagued with herion enhanced residents. Which it seems is has been getting comfortable in CO as well.

It's definitely not good. Almost stepped on this on the way to my office downtown recently .

Do you work at the Library on Broadway?...lol.
I have found needles and crack pipes in my front yard in years past, but not so much lately...which I'm happy to report.
Well, the crack pipes were on the porch, so evidently they wanted to relax a bit more up on there.
Shitbags.

Could be meth as well. I had no idea you could shoot up with meth until recently.

Nah I work right in the middle of LoDo off 16th. See needles all the time and have walked past a total of 3 dead people downtown in the last few years. I don't like working down there very much. I live in Castle Rock and like it way better down here.

True. Pretty sure that needle in particular is heroin because of the color though.

It could be residual blood in the syringe. [panic]

At least the stiffs don't ask for money, or anything else.
I say let the opioid addicts have all they want......die, and don't spend any tax payer money saving them from their "problem". Fuck em....load 'em up.

Cite safety concerns and work from home an option?
I've had a few uncomfortable conversations about this kind of stuff over the years... Everyone wants to be downtown "in the heart of the city" but very few want to see what that means for their employees. IMHO, businesses aren't holding Denver accountable enough. If they keep falling over themselves to move downtown, there is no incentive for Denver to clean up the mess (I have stories too).
The parallels to Shitcago are many and I think it's going to give a lot of people in this state a black eye.
