I thought I'd heard of a copycat style hit on Cabela's in Thorton but couldn't find any information at all on it neither to share.

I would expect a emergency action order any day now from the BATF for all FFL dealers implementing mandatory secure storage requirements and a 30 day compliance window.

That Jeep was taken from my neighborhood, along with others. The Edgewater police chief posted it on Nextdoor. His are just about the only posts that are worth reading.

I'm not into robbing retail outlets, but I guess it seems easier to hit the mom and pops.....how are they getting away with hitting the bigs like Bass Pro and Cabelas? The stores are so big you're gonna lose 10 minutes just in running to the gun department and back it seems.

Crazy.

No, they are not.
They know exactly where to go and what to grab.
They know what they are doing well in advance.

50 firearms?

Did someone said private security?
I won't work as private security even at $50/hr part time knowing those smash-grab thieves are well armed.

You would have thought that . . . after the first Cabela's was hit . . . that they might ramp up the security at the other one? Apparently not.

Triple J looks like they started parking a big RV on the sidewalk in front of the store now every night to discourage another drive-in.

ATF agents arrested Trinh on Aug. 16. During an interview with agents, Trinh admitted that the Kyle Zimmerman Facebook page was his. He didn’t want to talk about the Shooter Ready burglary because he didn’t want to be a snitch, agents said.

But he later told them about the night of Nov. 10. He and four or five others were driving when they saw the gun shop and “decided to burglarize the business.” Trinh said he didn’t enter the store because he was the “getaway driver.” He said he sold one of the guns he got for $375, the court records say.

He also admitted driving a stolen vehicle when he and three others stole four rifles from Parker Arms. Then he told the federal agents he wasn’t going to say anything more.

“‘I feel like I’m snitchin’ on myself.'”

Snitchin' on myself. [LOL]

Maybe it's really about getting older gas eatin, polluting clunker Jeep Cherokees off the roads. Glad the Police caught some of the thieves. Hope they get the rest soon. And pizz on bho and hrc, just because.

Sadly this is bound to happen and it trickle down to home storage laws like it has in certain states.

I'm still impressed shops aren't putting all firearms in a safe in spite of the fear of mishandling. I was in a client meeting earlier this week where physical security of financial info/documents was discussed. They have more strict (self-imposed) rules on unused check stock than most of these shops apparently do with firearms.

I guess it comes down to accountability. The shops file an insurance claim, the rest of us have to endure more gun control BS.

Police officers should be on continuous stake out at every jewelry store to stop this! [Sarcasm2]

Why don't we just make it a law that you cannot smash and grab/rob gun stores? It seems more legislation should fix the issue quite well.

I'm just surprised it's not illegal to steal a car, smash it into a building, then steal stuff from that building.

Let's make more laws and requirements for businesses. God knows I want to spend more money at those stores after they pass the cost onto me.

Colorado Gun bills: Circa ’91 mug shot used to fan flames of outrage (http://blogs.denverpost.com/thespot/2013/03/06/rhonda-fields-mugshot-fans-flame-of-outrage-over-colorado-gun-bills/92127/)

In a 2010, when she was running for state representative, Fields admitted she had been arrested arrested in 1976 on a larceny charge and in 1991 for shoplifting. Her record was revealed in a Denver Post story that detailed the arrest records of more than two dozen (http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_16191395)candidates and sitting state lawmakers.

“It’s a very embarrassing dark, desperate time in my life. I disclosed it when I decided to run, but it’s something I don’t like to talk about,” said Fields in 2010. “It’s something I’m not proud of. It happened over 20 years ago. I had to leave a husband who was addicted to drugs. I stole food to feed my kids. I’m so glad I’m not the woman I was back then.”

What is the story behind Fields?

She is the gash that "sponsored" the "High Capacity Magazine" Bill.
She is an Aurora hood rat that has a felony rap for bad checks dating back to the late 80's-early 90's. In 94-95 IIRC her son and fiance were gunned down by a gang member the day before her son was to testify against a gang member.
She ran a platform on her dead kid and got elected to the State house.
Her performance during the testimonies is the stuff that makes liberals cream their jeans.
She fawned, coddled and cooed over the proponents of the bill and treated the opponents with contempt, condescension and pure disdain.
I wish I had my old phone, I have pics and video of her playing games on her laptop during opposition testimonies to her bill.
She is a CUNT of the first order and the thing that fries my ass beyond all - she has a felony record, she is a "Prohibited Person" as it would relate to owning a firearm and yet she is able to influence OUR Second Amendment rights.

She needs to pleasure herself with a rusty, twisted wire bottle brush soaked in AIDs, Ebola and turpentine powered by a Hilti gas powered hammer drill.
And then suck start a 870.

She sounds about typical for a selfish liberal. I have one on the city counsel that is POS. I'm thinking about running against him. Paul Lopez I think is his name. I called to complain that they were going to take away my street parking to put in a bike lane that will never get used. I asked where I am suppose to park and his Assistant Jesus said that they are not required to provide street parking and that maybe I should get rid of my car.
Even though I got a tax bill back in the 90's for 7000 when they built the street and opened up 2nd ave. They don't give a shit about the people just do whatever their masters tell them to do.

On the government side of things, it sure would be nice if there were limitations on lawmakers being able to make laws that do not apply to themselves. They should not be a protected class. If you're a criminal and have given up your right to own a gun, then you don't get to participate in limiting the rights of those that do. You don't get to decide what kind of healthcare the citizenry has access to, but you have a special plan. You don't get to pass laws regarding sexual harassment in the workplace that don't apply to you.
